The Essay on Riordan Manufacturing Project
During project planning, project schedule and cost estimate are determines and accepted. Cost and time estimates will help determine the completion of the project. Once cost and time estimate are determined, the project can be executed and controlled. Execution refers to the process of the work and control refers to tracking the work to ensure that the project is on schedule and within budget. ...
6. Brief history: technical features project:
Demand for the food of animal origin is increasing day by day due the population growth, urbanization, income growth, changing consumer preferences, and export potential. In the wake of bird flu crises, the demand for red meat has significantly increased. But the insufficient numbers of available slaughtering animals and indiscriminate smuggling of livestock to Afghanistan are the impediments in fulfillment of our red meat requirements. Another important factor in that respect is the non-availability of beef cattle breeds.
As a general practice, dry, diseased and emaciated cows/buffaloes, and baby buffalo calves are slaughtered under extremely unhygienic conditions. Under such circumstances, it is not only that our own beef requirements are left unsatisfied but also we are compelled to lose the opportunity of earning foreign exchange from export of beef to the Middle East countries where there is a great demand for Halal meat.
For quality and efficient beef production, the availability of a well-defined beef cattle breed in this province is the foremost and essential prerequisite. Our local cattle breeds have been evolved as draught breeds but these have great potential for beef production as well. If these breeds are crossed with exotic beef breeds, the quality and quantity of their meat can be improved to a great extent. Due to the high inheritability characteristic of meat, it is relatively easy to develop a purpose-bred beef-cattle breed through cross breeding.
In the proposed project, semen of three beef breeds namely Angus, Hereford and one other breed will be imported and inseminated into local cows. The progeny of these crosses would be tested for meat production potential and meat quality. The most promising cross would be recommended for developing a purpose-bred beef-cattle breed in the province.
7. Justification:
Annual beef production in the province is 0.14 million tones, which is increasing by 2.9% per year. Per capita availability of meat has also increased from 17.3 kg to 19.0 kg per year during the last decade. Same is the case with the other food items in the country. However, in-spite of this substantial improvement in total food supply, malnutrition continues to be a serious problem in the province. According to an estimate, total number of malnourished children in Pakistan is around 8 million. It is one of the main reasons behind the high mortality of mothers and infants in the country. In such a scenario there is a need to further increase the availability of protein sources, especially animal protein, which have a higher biological value in human diet.
The Term Paper on Meat Production Industry and Environmental Concerns
The Meat Production Industry and Concerns For the EnvironmentCurrently there exists many concerns about the direction that the people of the world are moving towards solving environmental problems. Growth in the meat production industry and corresponding manure production has contributed to concerns over air and water quality. If the meat production industry does not yield to more strict ...
Over the last three decades agriculture has become mechanized and there has been a shift from bullock power to the tractor as a source of traction. Under this changed situation, there is less need of bullocks for agricultural operations. The function of cattle as dual purpose no longer exists and as a result of that the number of cattle has decreased. At this stage we have to think of cattle as a source of meat or milk only and less as draught power. For this reason we have to improve the cattle as a beef breed if we need to develop them as a source of meat. Beef production can only be successful if the animals have better growth rates, high feed efficiency and superior meat cuts. In the absence of such characteristics, our beef production cannot be made compatible with other developed countries and also we will not be able to compete in international market.
Our cattle breeds particularly Lohani and Dhanni cattle, which are mostly available in District Kohat, have been evolved as draught breeds. They have good beef production potential but its meat quality, carcass yield and feed-conversion efficiency are lower than the foreign beef breeds. Developing a synthetic beef breed is easier than the milch breed as the inheritability for beef production is 40%, which is much higher than that of milk production. Keeping in view this character, efforts will be made at the farm to identify a beef breed, which has better performance for beef production when crossed with Lohani, Dhanni and local non-descript cattle.
In the present proposal, beef production potential of three breeds i.e. Simmental, Angus, and one other beef breed will be studied by crossing with indigenous cattle and performance of crossbred animals will be studied under local climatic conditions. The promising breed among all the breeds under study will be recommended for developing a beef breed in the Province.

The Term Paper on Cocaine Production Columbia Coca Farmers
Cocaine Production in Columbia Columbia is the largest coca producing country in the world. Over 70% of our nation's cocaine is produced and manufactured in Columbia ("battles won" 1). The cocaine production in Columbia is different than the rest of the Andean countries because it is grown on plots of land that are gigantic, whereas in Peru and Bolivia coca is grown on small plots of land. Cocaine ...

Projects in a business are always set up to bring some beneficial change or add value to what the business already have (Knutson and Bitz, 1991). They are therefore set with goals that have to be accomplished. In a business organization, there are staff members given responsibility by the manager or the human resource manager based on their qualification and experience, on the kind of job they are ...
