Is basically the care provide to the patient that is assess by the provider (Doctor, Nurse).
An example of Treatment if a patient who has bronchitis and the provider prescribes antibiotics in order to cure the viral infection. Prevention
It is forestalling or to avoid further spread of an illness or disease the patient may be experiencing. An example of prevention would be getting immunizations to prevent certain diseases from developing in your body or the spread of the disease to other people. An example of a disease prevention would be Polio. Provider
Is individuals who works in the healthcare profession that are providing medical attention or services. Example: Who is your healthcare provider? Which means family doctor or healthcare person who has provided services to your healthcare needs. Or it can also be your healthcare insurance. Some people have HMO or PPO service provider which can determine the service treatment provide to the patient. Ambulatory
Ambulatory care is an outpatient care. This type of care would be a visit to a doctor from time to time. Ambulatory would be a patient that would be treated for a broken arm or leg. Copayment
A copayment is a fix amount that the insurance sets to cover healthcare services. How much is your copayment?
Insurance with HMO patient may pay a copayment of $15.00 compared to a patient who has PPO may pay $25 copayment for the same services. Inpatient a patient who is admitted to the hospital that requires to stay 1 or more days for treatment. Example: You will be admitted as an inpatient for hip replacement as this requires for major surgery and extensive care for the patient. Outpatient
Is a patient who doesn’t require treatment to stay overnight at the hospital or clinic. The person can recuperate at home. Outpatient would be a patient who is having a day procedure such as ovarian cyst removal and would be able to recuperate at home. Or another example would be patient that would need dental surgical extractions removal of wisdom teeth. Again a patient who would be able to recuperate at home.
