In his allocation of Ratisbonne, Pope Benedict XVI declares, among other things:
(the translation in English – here from the french version of the discourse – is from us):
In the seventh dialogue (dialexis – controversy) published by professor Khoury, the emperor [Manuel II Paléologue] approached the theme of jihad, the holy war. Actually, the emperor knew that in the sura 2, 256 we can read : « no constraint in religion! ». It is one of the suras of the firt period – tell the scolars – when Mahomet had himself at that time no power and was threatened. But indeed the emperor also knew the rules, developed afterward and fixed in the Koran, about the holy war. Without going into details, such as difference of treatment between those who know the Holly Book and the « uncultivated », the emperor, with a rather surprising harshness which amazes us, simply addresses his interlocutor with the central issue on the relation between religion and violence generally, by saying :
« Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached.»
The emperor, after having expressed in a so “unkindly way”, explains then in details the reasons why diffusion of the faith by intermediate of violence is an unreasonable thing.[/color:8035286ca4]

No need, after this, to ask whether one religion is better than the other (or the others if the us discourse applies to all them)
In both cases, we are looking at a scene of religious life which can be interpreted, in the old sabean religion, as follows (as far as Bible is concerned) :
When Jesus says what we read here upon, he is, in a religion that is now sabean, a Centaur who remains behind the top of the celestial planisphere, so that we cannot see him.
And because He has, above him, a Dragon which has just settled down with its stars on the northern border of the planisphere, this one e gives the Centaur a sword which is nothing else than the Dragon himself with his stars.
The Essay on Religion And Freedom God Religions Man
Do you see that religion limits the freedom of the human beings In other words, do you think there is a contradiction between being a subject of god and at the same time being a free man To begin with, lets define what is the meaning of the word religion. The word religion is derived from the Latin word "re ligo" which derives from the verb "reli gere" which in English means relate or link. It ...
And after having taken the sword from the Dragon, the Centaur, who looks now like Saint Georges, begins to divide the divine troop who follows him, in two groups : the good ones and the bad ones.
And because we are here on the celestial planisphere, the goods ones are constellations who reintegrate the visible part of the celestial planisphere, and the bad ones ,those remain hided in the visible part.
The reader of the present speech who knows nothing about the sabean religion will probably ask what means such a «gibberish» speech ?
Again, we must emphasize here on the fact that our interpretation refers the old paganism that occurred at that time, a paganism whose deities were expressing, first (we are now in the history of religions) the elements of a Lady Nature who referred itself to a religion which was at time animist and shamanic; and, later on planets and constellations belonging themselves to a religion which had become in the meantime sabean.
Indeed, both jewish and christians theologians could object us that the religion included in the Bible refers to an Unique God (whose name is Yahveh or Elohim in the Old Testament, Eternal God in the New Testament, and Allah in the Koran), and that other religions, or other forms of the religious perception of the world (buddhism, hinduism, gnosticism, sabeism, etc), because they refer to astrolatry or other forms of paganism, are heretic.
And because they are heretic, they are condemned, or have to be condemned by a Church who always forbade his partisans to adore idols instead of adoring the Unique God creator of the Universe.
Now, if we assume that a dimension of the Sacred Text of the Bible refers itself to the old sabean religion (which dimension is hided in the very names of the actors. – which implies to study onomastic to discover that dimension, as we try to prove it in the Roman Sabéen); in short, if we assume this, we can thus conclude that the two groups created by a god Christos who is now the Centaur constellation, these groups are made of constellations of whom some are invisible on celestial planisphere, whereas the others are visible. As for he Unique God, Himself is, in the sabean religion, and as the chief of the celestial bodies’ army, the Master of Time and Zodiac.
The Essay on Reflection Paper for Philosophy of Religion
Religion has been as part of society as far as its beginnings. All ancient human civilization had some sort of belief in a God or the transcendent. Beliefs have always been an issue within any human society. The belief of the transcendent gives humans a chance or hope for eternal happiness for people who abide their beliefs. But through out history, different religions and beliefs emerged which ...
In this sabean religion, Abraham, Moses or Jesus are the same constellation looked at various moment of the time (a time which refers itself to the rounds of constellations on the celestial planisphere), constellation who is the Centaur, as we know now, instead of being human beings (even if Jesus was, or is, perceived by Christians as a god because of his miracles and his resurrection, which is not the case of the others actors).
And because the Centaur remains momentarily in the invisible part of the celestial planisphere after having left its visible counterpart, those who, among the constellations, who have come along with him, are divine, compared to whose who are adoring the Dragon instead of adoring the Unique God, while remaining in the visible part of the celestial planisphere.
Let us precise that the Dragon has settle down next to the idolaters when themselves adored the Golden Calf by burning fires.
Be here again, as we are now on the celestial planisphere, men, instead of being real men with flesh and bones ,are constellations.
As for the idol adored by them, he (or it) is represented by the Dragon and its stars.
As for the demoniac fires burned by those who, for example, Nadab and Abihu (both of them being the elder sons of Aaron) adore the idol, it is represented by the Corona Borealis.

The sabeism, to return to it, must be analyzed from two different points of view : first as a sect of whom we know little, and secondly as a perception of cosmos, from a religious point of view, which sees deities in planets and constellations.
Let us first examine who were the sect named the Sabians, by reading two texts of intellectuals who had great consideration at their time : Ernest Renan on one hand, and Moses Ben Mimoun (i.e. Maimonides) on the other hand.
We read from Ernest Renan, in Marc Aurèle ou la Fin du Monde antique :

Religions which had nothing to do with christianity, the babylonian cults, maybe the prolegomena of the Buddhism, were classified and numbered by hérésiologues among the christian sects. Such were the Baptists or Sabians, since they appeared under the name of Mendais, the Pérates, worshippers of a half phoenician half assyrian cosmogony, religious mixture more deserving from Byblos, Maboug or Babylon [heresies], as from the church of the Christ, and especially the Sethians, sect actually assyrian who blossomed in Egypt as well. The Essay on Why Religion and God Are Not Necessary in Modern Day Society
88% of us claim to be religious. Religion has been around since 223,000 BCE. The world would be nothing without it. You can’t get a sense of history or the language of Britain without having to study religious texts. But is religion necessary in the 21st century? The simple answer is no. No, we don’t need to believe in religious stories to feel comforted, no we don’t need to believe in an ...

The same Munk is more explicit in that note of the chap. 29 of the volume III :[/color:8035286ca4]
As I already observed in my Reflections on the cult of the ancient Hebrew, Maimonide, as many of other Arabic authors of his time, understand, by the word Sabiens, all pagan peoples generally. The books from which he had drawn his knowledge on the pagan cults and about which he will speak further, let him believe that these cults were generally based on the astrolatry. Consequently, in the language of Maimonide, religion of Sabiens means the same thing as paganism. In the Koran (ii, 59; there, 73; xxii, 17), Sabiens are mentioned next to Jews and Christians, as the monastic community possessing revealed books and having part in the future life. We generally agree that Sabiens mentionned in the Coran are Mendaïtes or Christians of Saint Jean, who, because of their frequent ablutions, are named in syriac or according to the pronunciation of Mendaïtes, who don’t write the letter y), that is « Baptists » . See E. Cleaning out Castelli Lexicon-syriacum seorsim typis describi alque sweated adnotata adjecit, J.D. Michaélis, p. 749. The Arabic authors, from the time of calif Al-Mamoun, also give the name of Sabiens to the Pagans from Harran and from some other cities of Mesopotamia, wo are completely different tha the Sabiens from the Coran, what was causing a big confusion. We made unworthy efforts to know whether the etymology of the name «Sabians» apply to the Pagans. The more accurate hypothetis is that of Pococke (Specimen hist. ar ., p. 139), who assumes that this name come from the Hebrew word army, and who sees there an allusion to the cult of the celestial bodies named army of the sky; but this etymology is not more plausible than all the others. We know now that there was indeed a unique sort of Sabiens, namely the Mendaïtes, and we know either that the Pagans of Harran, threatened to be exterminated by the calif Al-Mamoun, usurped, at about 830 CE and on advice of a Moslem doctor, the name of Sabiens, Pagans who claimed to be the sect mentioned under this name in the Koran and recommended by the prophet to the protection of the Moslems. This fact is reported in the Kitab Al-Fihrist from Mohammed ben ls’ hak al-Nedîm (see the extract of this book given by Mr. de Hammer in the Asiatic Newspaper, sept.-oct. 1841,1, p. 254 and foll.).
The Essay on Rationalism And Religion God Question Islam
We are the Perfection of Imperfectness The question of the co-existence between rationalism and religion has been argued by many philosophers, such as Descartes. The compatibility between rationalism and religion has brought up many different ideas and thoughts. I do not think that both can be compatible. II had already been published by Hottinger, Historia Orientalis, p. 169, and, according to him, by Spencer, Of legibus Hebrœorum rituatjbus, tome I.chap. I, sect. 2 (p. 241 of the edition of Cambridge, 1685, in fol.).
It is especially in the work published on Sabiens by Mr Chwolson, that the problematic was resolved on the base of numerous proofs. The author shows how the name of Sabians, applied in the Koran only to Mendaites and used in this sense by arab authors until the time of Al-Mamoun, served then to name the Harraniens too , and, finally (we are in the VI th century of the Hegira), to name all the Pagans. See Die Ssabier und der Ssabismus (vol. 2 Gr. In-8 °, St-Petersburg, 1856), t. I, ch. vi, p. 139 and ss, and all the chap. viii. This excellent work contains various details on the religion of Harraniens, which can put light on several facts reported by Maimonide in this chapter and in the following ones, in which our author aims to explain the ceremonial rites prescribed by Moses by convoking the superstitious traditions of the Sabiens or of the Pagans, traditions which the mosaic laws intended to prohibit. We can summarize this text by saying that the sabeism is the religion of celestial bodies.
As I show it in the Roman Sabéen, the celestial bodies’ army is formed by elements which are not only constellations, but constellations of specific quality.
Having been chosen by God Himself, all of them form together the divine army, compared to those who belong to the demoniac army whose main figures are the Dragon, the Hydra and the clouds of the Milky Way.
Having said that, when Munk, presenter of Maimonide, tells that Abraham adores the Unique God, compared with the sect of Sabians who adored., at that time, idols, or when the same Munk tells that Moses, hero of the Book of Exodus, is prohibiting astrolatry in the same time he receives the Divine Tables from the hands of God Himself, we must understand what sense has such a speech in a religion which continues to refer to the body celestrial army.
Indeed, we could believe that the hero Abraham and the hero Moses are both of them founders of a new religion named monotheism.
But let assume ,just a moment, that the religion of whom Abraham and Moses were heroes, is sabean.
To understand why the two men adore an Unique God, a minimal knowledge in astronomy is required.
We have seen, hereupon, that both Abraham and Moses are, in the sabean religion, a constellation named Centaur.
From now on, when the Centaur named Moses climbs the Sinai Mountain to receive the Divine Tables from the hands of God, we are here on a celestial planisphere on which the Centaur is momentarily invisible, a Centaur who climbs a Sinai Montain who remains in the invisible part of the celestial planisphere.
As for the rest of the celestial army, some of these elements are still adoring an idol whose name is Dragon in the sabean religion we are dealing with now.
As for those who are no sinners by adoring the Dragon, because God let them alive, they will reach the Promises Land (a Land who belongs here to the celestial planisphere).
Those ones rejoin the Centaur in the invisible part of the celestial planisphere.
And here is the scoop : after having received the Divine Laws from the Centaur, our divine constellations, which have lost the deity or divinity on attending the Hydra or the Dragon when they remain behind the top the celestial planisphere, find it again.
In other words, because they have received the divine laws, they are as pure as they were before attending the Hydra or the Dragon.
Behind clean again, they can reintegrate the visible part of the celestial planisphere.
And because they are constellations, they put light in the southern part of the sky after having descended there, part obscured by the presence of Hydra.
And because the stars look like men, these men, after having received the divine laws, are again a civilised people (people who has lost his education or civilisation by attending the Hydra or the Dragon).
And they have received these laws from a god who is here the Unique God (Himself, Unique God, being the chief of the celestial army).
In other words, if theologians have proved that Moses or Abraham are promoters of a new religion based on monotheism when Moses receives the Decalogue, or when God talks directly to Abraham, it can be proved, either, that the religion we are studying now is and remains sabean.
In that religion, both heroes express the Centaur figure, a Centaur who adores the Unique God when he leaves the visible part of the celestial planisphere for its invisible counterpart.
As for those divine constellations who attend the Dragon in the visible part of the celestial planisphere, they adore idols, at that very moment, instead of adoring the Unique God.
****
Having said that, what is to be prove, here, is that sabeism was the religion by which people (and if not people, priests themselves ) adore, in ancient time, celestial bodies (sun, moon, Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, ect. and the numerous constellations moving on the celestial planisphere (whose number is 88 according to the specialists in astronomy).
And when Munk or Maimonide let us understand that the religion of celestial bodies spread to whole earth at that time, we may interpret it in two different ways : either we consider that the sabean religion was adored by all peoples living at that time, or we consider being on the celestial planisphere, a planisphere occupied, in its visible part, by constellations which, instead of adoring the Unique God, adore idols, and specially that is named Dragon.
And whereas these sinners will be punished or chastised by God, those who adore the Unique God go on living.
And because the survivors are here constellations, they appear again on the celestial planisphere, and they appear under a form which is purer, or cleaner, than that they had before polluted by the Hydra or the Dragon during the time spent beside the celestial planisphere.
As said above, they are purer, or cleaner, because they have received the Decalogue from a Centaur whose name is here Moses (himself, Moses having receive the divine laws from hands of God.
And if such a speech is difficult to understand for those who did not study a minimum in astronomy or did not read the Roman Sabéen, it was the theme « par excellence » of that sabean religion who spread over the world (India, Mesopotamia, Iran, Phoenicia, Greece, Egypt, etc.) at that time.
