Malls are already dominating our country and it’s already been our number one stop for shopping. So who would have thought that there’s still a place for bazaars in our country? This only proves that we, Filipinos are fond of shopping and we give emphasis on our value of being generous. Who doesn’t like to receive gifts on special occasions anyway? Especially on a Christmas season? This is maybe one of the reasons behind why many Filipinos likes or should I now say, “LOVE” to shop.
Bazaars as I define it is a special market place where creative products of proudly Filipino made can be found. It is not that every day, a bazaar is open for Filipino shoppers. Unlike in malls, bazaars are open for a particular occasion or cause. This is why I define the bazaars as special. Because it doesn’t only focus on gaining a profit but it is always have a cause. Entrepreneurs, doesn’t always come and sell their products in a bazaar with high hopes and dreams. But it is surely a place where they can present to the consumers their product and earn some extra income in a more affordable way, especially for the starters.
Many of us think that when a mall goes on a year-end sale, we would have enough for our fill when it comes to shopping. But when a bazaar rolls around, we can hardly resist the temptation to go. We always have this reason that we will only do some window shopping. But when we’re already inside the bazaar, we lose the track of time by finding something that is worth buying. And the next thing we knew, we already have a lot of items in our hand waiting to be paid on the cashier.
The Essay on Analyzing "Shopping For American Culture" By James Farrell
The United States has more malls than high schools and the number of shopping centers is increasing each year (378). It is clear that malls are a large part of our society. In “Shopping for American Culture,” James Farrell claims that the 45,000 malls in America define American values and culture because malls are the ideal environment for social interaction, aesthetic appreciation, ...
Most bazaars are open for a particular season. In our case, we have witnessed how a Christmas Bazaar is being held. Of course, if it’s Christmas, what we are expecting to see are the Christmas decors, items for kris kringles. And of course, the Clothes! The oh-so-affordable clothes. There are also the boutiques that you can find in a mall that have stalls in bazaar and most of their items are on sale. But what fascinates me the most are those starting entrepreneurs who are wanting to grow their hobby in a small type of business. We are also aware that these entrepreneurs really have the good products to sell in a market but they are hardly noticed by the consumers because of the less opportunity given to them. As of today, you’ll be needing a big amount of profit if you want to advertise your products. And the best way to get through the consumers all throughout the country is on television ads, and some other types of advertisement. It will take a lot of risks, because there is no guarantee that after you have advertise your products, the consumers will purchase your products.
But now, there is already an alternative for advertisements. And it is the bazaar. I think that this is an effective way to start your own business, because a lot of Filipinos today are looking for some unique products and most of these are found in a bazaar. Bazaars gives a chance to the consumer to find items that are not normally available in a department store in malls. Also, most bazaars give chances for each provinces to showcase their best products to the Filipinos who can’t afford to go visit their place and tastes their foods or have a look on the culture of that particular province.
The Essay on Case Solution For Giant Consumer Products
As a market leader in frozen food industry, Frozen Foods Division (FFD) of Giant Consumer Product (GCP) has been proved very successful in the past 30 years, with national market share of 43% in the “Italian frozen dinners and entree offerings” subcategory. However in 2008, FFD were in sales trouble. The gross revenue through Aug 2008 was under plan by 3.6% (with the equivalence of about $14.5m) ...
Bazaars also provide the consumers some advantage that we can’t do in malls. The “Tawad System.” In malls, the prices of the items there are fixed and can’t be reduce anymore. Though, they are having their sale, let’s admit that we can save a lot more in tiangges because of the never-ending “pagtawad” of the consumers to the sellers. Most sellers allowed their customers to acquired tawad in the prices if the customers purchases a lot of items in their stores. This tawad system all depends to the store owner whether to give it or not.
MORE BAZAARS, MORE FUN.
As it is my first time to go in a bazaar, I can’t help it but to compare how it feels like going in a bazaar and a mall. There is a big difference between the two of them. The feeling is different. When we go shopping in a mall, there is always an uneasy feeling that our budget might be short. Same thing in a bazaar. The only difference is that, there is always a way to maximize our budget by asking the vendors with “Tawad”. The relationship between the vendors and the saleslady with the consumers is also different. Though they are both convincing the consumers to buy more of their products, but the saleslady and salesmen doesn’t have the rights to make some agreement with the customers. The “Tawad System” may be somehow irritable but there is always the fun in there. I mean, we build some sort of connection and it builds our communication and socializing skills. And as I wander the place, I had observed that some of the stalls have the same products they are selling. And in this, you will be needing to go seek the store which offers the most affordable price.
But I’ll tell you this. It is not that easy. Because as I go and asked for the prices of the stuffs I have seen in the other booths, they have all the same prices. It is now just a matter of negotiation. One of the stalls where I buy an extraordinary bookmarks, they sell it 50 pesos per pack. But if you’re going to buy it in three’s, you’ll get to save 50 pesos, because, they only sell it for 100 pesos. It is like, buy 2 get 1. One thing I like shopping in a bazaar is that, you have the choice whether to avail their promo or not. In my case, I won’t be needing a lot of bookmarks anyway, so I decided on purchasing only one pack. And since that, that one pack already consists of five bookmarks and I wouldn’t be needing a lot of it anyway. But of course, the shopper inside of me wants to avail the discount because it’s not like that that bookmark is available everywhere. And of course, it is also a good gift for my friends. But I guess, the odds were not in my favor. I am not ready with all the expenses I would be facing. Because we never planned to buy anyway. We went there to do only some observations. I have learned the lesson anyway. You can’t resist the urge to buy especially when you are in a bazaar where there is a lot of choices and discounts.
The Essay on Lot Of Things Time Poem Person
In his poem, "Fern Hill," Dylan Thomas shows us how the enjoyment of life becomes a memory as time goes on. The theme of the story has taken two colors green and gold, green being when a person is young and gold being when a person is old. However, most people would just read half of the paper and say that the poem was about childhood and the people who read the poem thoroughly would argue that it ...
Last December 16, 2013, Monday, we, together with my block mate, Christine Grace Mercado, went to World Trade Center where the World Bazaar Festival is being held. We were two hours earlier in the opening. And we were surprised to see a lot of shoppers earlier than us (though we never expected that we’re such an early bird).
What surprises me the most is the fact that it is Monday. You can’t expect a lot of shoppers going in a mall when it is a weekday and the fact that there are still classes that time. Though we were one of the early shoppers, we were still in the last line because we are both first timers and neither of us have any idea how it is being held. We just have this assumption on things. Good thing is, I got bored in the line and went to the front line to witnessed if there is any progress or if the guards already opened the doors. And by that time, one of the guards announced that there will be two columns for the lines, and luckily, I am able to make my way on the second line. But there’s a problem when the third line occurs. The third line was only meant for the Senior Citizens and PWDs. But some of not in their elderly stage and seems strong went to that line because it is shorter than any of the lines. The good thing is, before the guards give way to the third line, they let us get inside first and I have no more idea how the line outside went. Since the people once get inside were lined up again to purchase the tickets.
The Essay on Containment Early Cold War
In the early years of the Cold War, both the Truman and Eisenhower administrations pursued a policy of containment to counter perceived Soviet aggression. Generally, the presidential administrations pursued this policy to maintain stability in the international arena, to maintain a balance of power, and also in a sense, to express disapproval of totalitarian, non-democratic regimes. Containment ...
