Ralph’s hostility makes him feel satisfied using his spear. Notwithstanding, it portrays his cause of violence causing him to be as savage as the hunters. Meanwhile, Ralph shifted negatively affecting his leadership because of the maddening situations in the island. For example, “If I blow the conch and they do not come back; then we’ve had it. We shan’t keep the fire going. We’ll be like animals we’ll never be rescued,” (p.99).

The mythical beast horrible and harmful which gives the boys the opportunity to attack it, otherwise when the news reach the boys it indicates the fear gone and violence began. As an example, “Fear can’t hurt you any more than a dream. There is not any beast to be afraid of on this island…..If something did get you, useless lot of cry-babies,” (p.75).
Fear can’t hurt them, which portrays they are not afraid anymore ignoring the beast. Nevertheless, it makes them hopelessness leading a negative impact on the boys’ behavior, which also makes harmony vulnerable to change them, because they’re separate individually. Jack and his tribe killing innocents people as Simon and Piggy while Ralph began to regain humanity but it’s late. Consequently, their actions combined all of it into violence.
Finally, Jack the corrupt leadership who has authority but use it as advantages to spread violence and immorality in the island. He leads fear to violence changing behaviors to all his followers causing the unity definitely obsolete. For instance, “The chant rose ritually as it, the last moment of a dance Kill the pig Cut his throat Kill the pig bash him!,” (p.114).

Subsequently, it makes the unity of Ralph and Jack separable for gain more power.
In conclusion, in Lord of the Flies Golding uses Ralph, Jack and the beast as symbols to demonstrate that loss of hope leads fear into violence, foreshadowing today’s society where everything is related to aggressiveness and misunderstanding between people. Nowadays, when people lose hope their desperations hurt others violently, even if they have unity because their consciousness does not help them to overcome aggression. Briefly, Ralph leads to violence through vindictive acts, causing himself to become savage. The beast scaring the boys causes them to be savage and lose hope of survival. Finally, Jack who uses power to spread violence toward the boys and by killing innocence making the boys’ behaves savagely as him. These symbols accomplished their purpose showing that in the world when people are afraid, violence is the only way to face problems, leading the negative consequence of became uncivilized and the destruction of the society. In general, sometimes loss of hopes makes the people forget that they are together in an understandable world, making the ignorance and aggressiveness dominate the whole mankind.
