Communication is a process of sharing our ideas, thoughts and feelings with other people. When we communicate we speak, listen and observe. We can learn to improve the way we communicate by others giving us feedback also by being self aware of our own strengths and weaknesses in our communication.People need to communicate with each other and they communicate with lots of people in a day period. The relationships between these people and the person individually changes so there are lots of communication kinds and distances between these people and the person. People always need to communicate with each other even they don’t know each other. Speaking, telling our needs and wants verbally, non verbally or in a written way is the basic need of our daily life.
Communication, to me is the most important tool and is used daily by everyone. I have always felt a particular need to increase my personal levels of communication and language skills.,Good communication to me is a process of creating, sending, receiving, Communication is a process that consists of two or more people. For the communication to be effective everyone in this process must try to be open minded, good listeners, honest, respectable to the other party or persons, and give appropriate criticism. When these facts are displayed there will almost always be good communication and the group will be a success.
Another key to good communication skills is how well we deliver our message to another person, so that the message is clearly stated and understood. This may mean that we need to improve our speaking skills. As we all know everyone has different speaking abilities so one should always check for understanding from all group members. One person left out in the conversation can create holes in the communication process.

Last but not least, one thing that leads to being an effective communicator is to be a people oriented listener. This person is better known as a people person, a non-judgmental person and someone you may talk to when you want someone to listen to you. I believe that there should be one of these people in every group to help manage tension that may arise. Bad communication takes place when the exchange of information does not process the same from one person to another. Communication can be verbal or non verbal.

The Essay on Mass Communication People Verbal Person
Communication is more than just one person speaking and another listening. There are 3 components, them being Verbal, Non-verbal and Body language. In this essay I am going to explain briefly what I understand about them. Communication is an exchange of information from one individual or group to another, whether in speech or through another medium. (Giddens 1997). Verbal is the smallest part of ...
Communication is the passing of information from one person to another or from one place to another. There are a number of different ways in
which communication can occur. These include verbal communication, non-verbal communication and written communication (e-mail).
Effective communication is also about communicating with relatives, colleagues and other professionals to create a safe, welcoming and valuing environment.
A big factor that influences effective communication skills is the space. Where the space between people usually shows how intimate
the conversation is. Different cultures have different expectations when it comes to how close you should be when talking to others. An
arms length is usually kept when talking to strangers. People find it socially acceptable to stand closer to someone if you have been
introduced with a handshake. Relatives and partners usually are not restricted in how close they can come but in some cases a father and
his son may have firm rules on proximity that are unwritten. Not only can it tell us how intimate the conversation is but the positioning of the people who are engaged in the conversation can as well. If two people are standing or sitting eye to eye it may showthat they are being angry or formal. Where as if they are at a slight angle it may show a more friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Where as in the classroom, the teacher may change the tone of their voice in order to make the student or students feel more at ease with them or they may touch a student on the arm to show understanding to something that they have said.
Verbal communication is expressed through the use of words. Effective communication involves a process of listening.
Skilled listening involves a number of stages. These include:
* Looking interested and ready to listen.
* Hearing what is said.
Culture and race differences between a couple/many people can cause communication barriers because both people may not understand the other persons culture or race and they may not know of differences in the way the other person does things.
The Review on Social Media and in Person Communication
Today people are more connected than ever, the internet and social media have opened Pandora’s box for interpersonal communications. It is hard to imagine our lives before the internet and cell phones. If we take a moment to really think about how we communicate today, most of us would immediately think of our preferred type of social media or our cell phone. Social media is a phenomenon that has ...
When we are having a conversation we usual use two types of communication, verbal and non-verbal. We can send messages to people
through our body language, the way we look. When you talk to someone in a good way and with pleasant words but your tone is tough and so it is understood that you don’t like this person or when you keep convincing someone that you’re interested in what he is saying but at the same time you keep looking around or look to other peole which automatically means that you’re not paying attention to what is said, we can say that body language has great effect on spoken language, we all tend to infer how someone is like from his/her body movements. For instance, when people are active with many non-verbal movements they will be rated as warm, more casual, agreeable and energetic. But when the same people are still with few movements, we tend to consider them more logical, cold and analytical. Therefore we should be observant to other people’s gestures as they can give clues to their personality and the message they are trying to get across to others.
It’s a positive effect if you use it to support what you are saying and a negative one if it contradicts your spoken language. Don’t forget to laugh and it’s even much better if you were able to make people around laugh as well .
Where a happy person will have wide eyes and they will be smiling.
Non-verbal communication is a way of giving out messages and signals to other people through body signals and gestures. Sometimes messages can be sent to other people without us deliberately meaning to send these messages. Types of non-verbal communication include eye contact,
facial expressions, voice tone, body movement, posture, muscle tension,Gestures which are hand and arm movements that can help people to understand
what someone is saying. If a person shrugs their shoulders it may show that they don’t know something or if a person sticks their thumb up it
may indicate that everything is going well.Gestures permit a degree of expressiveness and subtlety that is not possible with other aspects of non-verbal communication, gestures are even used in situations where the other person cannot see you like when making a phone call, gestures can be a useful communication tool when people cannot speak to each other due to excessive noise or they’re in a library. As a matter of fact, you can also observe the use of gestures when two people are speaking different languages; they tend to act out the words as a convenient shorthand.
The Essay on Body Communication Audience Important Gestures
The methodology of the social sciences has evolved slowly. In this evolution, criticism has always performed an important function. This system of rules and procedures is the normative component ...
They can be used in expressing amongst many other things openness, defensiveness, readiness, etc .( Messina, J.J. and Messina, C.M. (2007), Coping.org, Tools for Coping with Life’s Stressors – Tools for Communication – Non Verbal Communication).
You can tell if someone is sad or happy through their facial expressions and eyes. Through the eyes we can tell if someone is attracted, excited or interested in someone else if their eyes get wider. If someone looks away it can mean they are not interested or bored. A fixed stare may be obtained as someone being angry or annoyed. Peoples faces usually tell us how they feel, we can tell if someone is depressed as their eyes signal this as they look down, there may be tension in the face and neck and their mouth will be closed.
Eye contact is defined as direct visual contact with another person’s eyes by making eye contact; a person is showing that they have an
interest in what the speaker has to say. Eye contact is one of the main methods of non – verbal communication because our eyes can
express a lot of different emotions. If a person’s eyes widen they may be excited about something or they may be scared. If a person stares at another person this may be to show anger. Looking away from someone can often indicate boredom or not being interested in what is happening. A person’s facial expressions can say a lot about the emotional state they are in. If a person is smiling it can show they are happy. If a person is yawning it can show they are bored. If their tone is fixed and loud you can tell they are angry. The way in which a person sits can show how they are feeling at the time. If a person is having a conversation with another person and they other person is sitting with their arms crossed it may show that they are not taking any notice or if a person is leaning in on their chair it can show that they are very interested in the conversation. If a person is sitting on a chair with their hands behind their head it shows that they are being laid back which can mean they are not taking notice of what is going on or if a person is sitting with their hands together on their knee it can show that they are being formal or that they are nervous with the situation .
The Essay on Action Versus Words Face Person Eye
Nonverbal communication, what we do not say, can cause as many problems as what we do say in everyday life. We are often quite aware of the effects of our words because we can see the expression or hear the response. The effects of what is not said may be much more restrained, but they are critical to our success or failure in an organization. You may have observed many Asians, whether they are ...
