This book does not literally have a plot because it does not treat of a logical story. The author is trying to make the elements that make people successful in life more understandable. With some concrete example the author builds around Aristotle’s phrase that states: “we are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act but a habit.” He goes step by step starting by proving that personal skills can be important only when all other circumstances are met. For example a good worker will not be able to practice his skills if he does not have a job, therefore the existence of the job is more important that the worker’s personal skills. That is what he calls personal and character ethic.

There are so many books today, that we do not know what gender is the most valuable anymore. This book is treating about how to restore the character ethic in 7 steps. It gives details and concrete example on how to apply all those theory in a real life situation. It is even because of it adaptability in real life situation that it will be a good thing to recommend it to anyone at any level of public or private service. This book would be far more effective than any legislation regarding ethical conduct. It is also true that the change or the renewal of ourselves could take longer than we think because it demands a constant work out and a perseverant will.
