Nothing is worse than to be alone in the world, and without having any friends, alone is how you will live your life. Albert Camus once said “Don’t walk in front of me, I may not follow. Don’t walk behind me, I may not lead. Walk beside me and be my friend.” Friendships differ between people. Friendships span from individuals, ages, families, neighbors, and cultures. For example, a friendship a person may have with their parents would be different than the friendship they may have with a person of their own age. However, friendships come in many forms and can exist between best friends, friends, lovers, children, parents, siblings, animals and many more.
According to Webster’s Dictionary, the definition of friendship is defined as
the state of being friends, or a friendly feeling. A friend, on the other hand, is defined as a person of whom one is fond of. The second definition states a friend as an ally, supporter, or a sympathizer. My personal definition of what friendship is, is a feeling or emotion expressed in such a way that another feels wanted and important. It is a type of relationship where friends are people whom you can have several different types of relationships with, and feel many emotions for that person. It is someone who you can go to in the time of need and they will be there to pick you up when you are dealing with your hardest times. Also, no matter what you do, they are always there for you. Friendship is a type of relationship where both partners need to work on understanding each other and developing trust. Not only is a friendship a commitment, but it is also takes great devotion.
The Essay on Good Friend Person People Trust
Education in the Classroom, or in the Real World Oscar Wilde and Lord Brougham have different ideas about the education system. Wilde states Education is an admirable thing, but it is well to remember from time to time that nothing that is worth knowing can be taught. This means that education does not teach a person every thing they need to know, a person learns from doing things outside of ...
A friend is a person who I can go to in any time of need. A good friend is not someone who requires you to be something that you are not or do something that is not to your ability; but rather a good friend is someone who accepts you for who you are and will love you just the same when you act foolishly. A good friend is someone who is caring, patient, kind, and accepting. When my father passed away about 2 years ago, that was a time when I really needed close friends to be by my side. My best-friend Jasmine gave me the hope, support, and the comfort that I needed. Almost everyone has a best friend. A best friend can be either a person or an animal. Sometimes a person who is lonely may find that they have a companion in their dog, cat, or any other pet they own.
Friendship is not hostility, animosity, or loathing. It is not about being greedy, hurting people and being malevolent. Once when I was younger there was a group of girls I use to hang out with. I considered them to be my best friends, but little did I know that they use to talk about me behind my back. That is when I realized friends shouldn’t treat each other like that. I stopped talking to them and made new friends with people who liked me for who I was.
Friendship is a wonderful thing to have with someone. When you have strong friendships you never have to feel alone. Somebody will always be there for you when you need a shoulder to cry on. A friend is a person who will give you strength and help you get through the hard times. They stand by your side, stick up for you, and always
forgive you for the stupid things that you have done; even if you don’t deserve to be forgiven. Throughout life, many friendships come and go but the strong ones last forever.
