A Remarkable Feat
Students of KMES Eng. Med High School have brought glories to the institution by making a remarkable achievement in Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) tournament. This tournament began in the month of October 2008. it was conducted at Zonal level. Many teams from Thane, Ulhasnagar and Mumbai have participated. Our school has sent two teams, one under Junior and the other under Senior Category. The senior team got qualified for quarter final but could not get through for the final match. The Junior team had proved their mettle by winning the tournament.
Earlier, various teams from Bhiwandi actively participated this tournament but none of them have got success. Our school team participated for the first time and the first attempt itself was successful. It’s a great honour for us. We owe this success to Mr. Sattar Tase and Late Mr. Younis Momin. They gave their valuable time to the students in order to make them expert by providing regular practice to the students.
The final match was held on 27th December 2008. at the ‘Central Maidan’, Thane. The match was against V.V. H.S. team from Thane. On their homeground our students displayed their talent and emerged victorious. Mr. Ratnakar Shetty, I.C.C.I Secretary, appreciated our team for their excellent performance by honouring them with the Rotating Trophy and a Cricket kit worth Rs. 40,000/-

A Glorious Competition
KMES Eng Med, High School has conducted an interschool elocution competition on 3rd January 2009 for the first time. The school got a good response from all over Bhiwandi with 28 participants furcated into Junior as well as Senior groups. There were 3 interesting topics for the participants from each group and they were to speak on anyone of the given topics. The given topics were:
Junior Group :
1. democracy : The Best term of Government
2. India in the New Millenium
3. Computer : A silent Revolution
Senior Group :
.1. Why I should follow the rules of my country?
2. Criminalisation of politics.
3. Moral Dellimmas inherent in scientific progress.
The competition was arranged at G.M. Momin Women’s College Auditorium. This occasion was graced by many prominent personalities of our city. Dr. Irfan Fakih, an educational and a scholar presided over the function Mr. Aqueel Kazi, Mr. Azizul Haque Bubere were the guests of honour. Our Gen. Secretary Mr. Musaddique Patel, High School Vhairman Mr. Talha Fakih, Mr. Shafi Muqri and other members of the managing committee also graced the occasion. A competition could not be effective and just without the jury members. We had 3 learned and scholar judges for the competition. Mrs. Meeta Thakkar, lecturer N.E.S. Jr. College, Mr. Asrar Pathan lecturer in Rais Jr. College and Mr. Ravish Ansari, former supervisor of KMES Eng. Med. High School & Jr. College formed the panel for the jury members.

The functions commenced with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Quran followed by the felicitation of the guest and the jury members. Then began the competition. The lots drawn by our Chief Guest Dr. Irfan Fakih decided the order of the participants for their respective speeches. There was a common prize for all the participants. After all the speeches from both groups, Dr. Fakih shared his views regarding the function and provided some valuable suggestions to the participants. He appreciated KMES Eng. Med High School for conducting a successful programme by giving 10/10 marks to the organisors for their efforst and hardwork. The jury members also shared theirs views and highlighted the good mistakes of the participants so that next time they should avoid those mistakes. At last one of the jury members, Mr. Ravish Ansari declare the result for the copetition
