A school as a young child might see it
“Thank God!” I yelled to the top of my lungs. The bell finally rang. I Knew I should have had breakfast before I came to class. I could hear my stomach rumbling. With Math being my next class I had to think of something fast. I blotted down the hallway, kicking up dust as I dashed to the nearest vending machine. Just then my stomach dropped to the floor. “The damn machine took my dollar!” All I could do was suck it up and blow out a sigh of frustration. The late bell rang and I could still hear my stomach screaming for something to eat. Sitting through the hour of Math class felt like two million years passed me. All the while my stomach was sounding off like a rumbling, rusty car engine.
“Lunch time”, I perked up as I heard the lunch bell ring. “Like an angles melody…oh so sweet is the sound of this bell”. As I entered the packed lunch room all I could hear is the rumble of my stomach. I quickly grabbed a dark blue, light, slime feeling lunch tray and hopped in the lunch line. With a smile on my face I asked the lunch woman for the teriyaki. She rudely slapped a glob of dark brown, chunky, thick slab of glob on my plate. “Bon appetite” the woman foully said with a smirk on her face. I rushed to the cafeteria for this. Oh well I guess I will go hungry.
