There should be a counseling group for women who have had abortions. They should met at an abortion clinic were they could talk to women who are considering this procedure, all the effects and feelings that are prominent with the abortion procedure. This would give all people a better understanding and most likely change many of the women’s minds. There is the commandment “Thou shall not kill.” This applies to abortion also.
I believe that God has a plan for everyone and if he gave you the gift of having a baby, you should be grateful for that gift. Abortion is an act of murder, just like someone being shot to death, why is this a crime and abortion isn’t? The Catholic Church today does not agree with the laws legalizing abortion. They see it all a morally wrong act that is a sin in the Church. Going to a Catholic high school I was taught the laws of the Church. Yet, I don’t know if I would be able to follow those laws if I was presented with that situation at this time in my life. I also feel that even if laws are passed making abortion illegal, it will still be present in our world.
