What is one emotion that has everyone mystified? What is one emotion that has started as many wars as it has ended? What emotion had more plays, songs and stories written about it than anything else? Love, that one emotion that makes enemies into friends and friends to enemies. So many legend surround this emotion , from the goddess Athena and Helen of Troy to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet .
Everybody knows what love is. But what is the best definition for it? How can we say that we are in love? What is the feeling to love and to be loved? There are so many questions regarding in this topic. Though we do not have the perfect and best definition for it, it just simply exists in the different reasons and in different personalities.
“What is love?” The most popular question that we can hear everywhere. It amazes me so much, because once you asked for their definition, they may not result the same, it differs but all of these, their answers are their perspective about love. Love? In Chinese/Japanese word,(ai) , in Latin word, (amor , amoris)
In Spanish, (el amor), in Korean, (sa-rang) and here in our country, (mahal kita).
They may have different pronunciations, spellings and accent; still they have the same meanings.
They say, that once you loved a person, expect that you will be hurt. Not by physical means but emotionally. Others say that love not to be equal, it only needs to be true, because if you love someone, first make sure that you are ready to sacrifice anything for your lover, sometimes that sacrifices may be your love itself. They say that it is the best feeling that an individual feel. Love can do anything and can destroy everything.

I don’t pretend to know what love is for everyone, but I can tell what it is for me, love is knowing all about someone, and still wanting to be with them more than any other person, love is trusting them enough to tell them everything abut yourself, including the things you might be ashamed of. Love is feeling comfortable and safe with someone. For me, it is the hardest words to say and one of the easiest to hear.
Once you love, don’t love someone for their looks, or their clothes or for their fancy car, but because they sing the song only you can hear. Do not look in their physical appearance, but look them and observe their best attitudes. Love is not a matter of choice but a matter of chances. Because there is instances that your most hated person, in the end, will be your lifetime partner. Love doesn’t need to be perfect, but the fact of changes that love causes you.
There are different kinds of love that an individual feels. There is a love for God, which is the greatest of all. Our love for our parents that no one can replace, our love for our siblings, not a duty or responsibility but a natural emotion and our love for our lifetime partner that they said is the best gift of God to us. Love, therefore comes in different persons, different levels and extension, but there is only one thing that I can conclude, that love exist, whether we like it or not that is the reason why we are fighting.
Love is something that should be celebrated everyday, every single moment. Make it a habit to say things of care and affection everyday. Appreciate the best attributes that your partner possesses. say it in love verse to make him/her feel wanted and cared for. Its always important in relationship to let each other know their best qualities. And the most important thing in life is to learn how to give out love and to let it come in.
“Love can be as one time and last for lifetime, and never let go till were gone.”(Titanic theme).For me, love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning. Love is easy to say but hard to prove. It exist without our consent. And you didn’t know whether you are doing right or wrong when you are in love.
