Actuarial Science and me During my youth I was fascinated by application of mathematical and statistical methods to finance and insurance, particularly to risk assessment[1]. So I choose actuarial science as my work area. I deal with the financial impact of risk and uncertainty[2]. I have a deep understanding of financial security systems, their reasons for being, their complexity, their mathematics, and the way they work ([3], p. 7).
I evaluate the likelihood of events and quantify the contingent outcomes in order to minimize losses, both emotional and financial, associated with uncertain undesirable events.
Since many events, such as death, cannot be totally avoided, it is helpful to take measures to minimize their financial impact when they occur. To promote economic growth and to make strategic investments of Malaysia the below mentioned things are recommended[4]. First the economy should be moved up the value chain. The capacity for knowledge and innovation should be raised and first class mentality should be nurtured. Persistent socio-economic inequalities should be addressed constructively and productively. The standard and sustainability of quality of life should be improved.
The institutional and implementation capacity should be strengthened i.e., good governence should be promoted, the public service delivery system should be enhanced and development through international cooperation should be promoted. I feel like exceling in the analytical skills, business knowledge and understanding of human behavior and the vagaries of information systems that are required to design and manage programs that control risk[2]. Due to the proliferation of high speed computers and the synergy of stochastic actuarial models with modern financial theory I will have a bright future in actuarial science[1]. The Essay on Agganis Arena Level Event System
Agganis Arena The multi-purpose arena that I have chosen to evaluate is Boston University's Agganis Arena. This arena is considered to be the next generation of Boston sports and entertainment by incorporating the latest multimedia technologies and providing the finest possible sight lines and views of the action. The arena is located within Boston University's new $225 million John Hancock ...
