A lot of young people in this day and time are having unprotected sex and are not thinking about the consequences. The consequences include obtaining sexually transmitted diseases and a chance that the woman will get pregnant. If the woman gets pregnant, the couple must decide if they want to take on the responsibility of taking care of another life for at least eighteen years. Some couples decide that they don’t want that responsibility. For that reason, a lot of couples make the decision of getting an abortion. An abortion is a procedure that is done to the end of a life of a child who did not ask to be here.
Usually after a woman has an abortion, she experiences a mixture of feelings. The most common feeling a woman experiences after the procedure is guilt. She feels guilt for a number of reasons. One of the reasons is her wondering if she did the right thing. Sure, there were alternatives. She could have gotten a higher paying job to take care of the child, or she could have taken on a part-time job in addition to her full-time one.
Her plans of finishing college could have gone on hold for a couple of years. Then there’s the father, he would have been responsible for half of the responsibility. Would it have been as bad as she thought it would be? A woman may also wonder about how others would see her after she has an abortion. She may especially wonder how other women in her life see her after she has done such a thing.
Would her mother tell her that she has done the right thing because she wouldn’t have been the best of situations to take care of a baby? Would her grandmother call her a murderer for killing a child who didn’t ask to be here? These are things she may play in her head. And for this reason, a lot of women hide abortions from others. They do not want to be criticized and called a killer. A lot of women also see an abortion as a murder.
The Essay on Abortion Women Abortions Legal
Abortion The right to have an abortion is a woman's right not to have a conceived child. According to Compton's Encyclopedia, an abortion is the loss of a fetus before it is able to live outside the womb (1). Induced abortion is regarded as a moral issue in some cultures, but to others it is seen as an acceptable way to end an unplanned pregnancy. In the Supreme Court case of Roe vs. Wade (1973) ...
A woman may feel guilt about having an abortion afterward because she may later see it as killing her unborn child. She may think about the innocent life that has been taken. She may wonder about what the future would have been like if she had not decided to have the procedure done. Would her child have grown up to be a doctor or a lawyer? Would he or she have looked like Mommy or Daddy? A woman may think about all of this and regret it.
She may think that it was wrong and she may see it as a big mistake. She may consider herself more responsible for this murder than the doctor who performed the procedure. She may deal with a lot of guilt in this area. A lot of women who have difficulty dealing with this part of guilt need counseling. I personally consider abortion to be murder. Even though the little one hasn’t seen this world yet, it’s still alive.
An unborn fetus’ heart starts to beat on day twenty-one of the pregnancy. That’s even before most pregnant women find out they are indeed pregnant. Who can say that when an abortion is performed, that fetus doesn’t feel any pain? Even though I feel that abortion is murder, I wouldn’t go as far to say that another woman having an abortion is wrong for doing so. Since she will be the one going through the procedure, I can’t decide what is right for her. I am not in her shoes, so I can’t say what is best for the situation. Also, if a woman does decide to have the procedure done, it will be her that will have to deal with the consequences.
There are almost always consequences to this procedure. Whatever a woman’s decision when placed in a sticky situation like this, she should think long and hard about the outcome. The results could have an impact on her for many years to come.
