Knowing these facts, I have concentrated to do research on Alexander Pope and want to widen his creativity among todays populace. He first captivated public attention in 1709 with his Pastorals. In 1711 his Essay on Criticism, a brilliant exposition of the canons of taste, was published. The most famous poem, The Rape of the Lock, a fantastic and inventive mock-heroic work which was based on a true story made him reputed poet.
