I hold good faith in my science and along with the good of humanity. My thoughts are the basic state of nature was originally happy until characterized by tolerance. But not everyone feels the same way that I do, for instance Thomas Hobbes must contradict with me mainly because I feel he aroused the Antigo of the English group in France and also his thorough materialism often offends fellow churchman. That is why he had to return to England back in 1651. Unlike me he believed men are not equal in their self-seeking lives and in social class, I feel his ideas are wrong and improper because he is not for a state of equality, instead he favors monarchy. (4 If you were to ask me what the emerging American character was during the 1700’s I would probably explain it like this, well we have been in a general impatience of rules and restraint, a democratic amenity to all authority and extravagant humor.
