Analyzing business processes for an enterprise system OPM 3131 INTRODUCTION to OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT Made by: Kossolapov Nikita 20110416 Martynova Anna 20101734 Andrey Nassybullin 20101692 1) The outputs of the order process are reports of credit holds, customer invoice when product is delivered and paid for, and reports of back orders. 2) The distribution process is likely to be affected because it needs to be called on when the process of order is finished.
Since the process of order itself is very long and may contain a lot of mistakes it can negatively affect the distribution process and it can increase delay for the distribution. The delivery process of the product is very important. If the distribution process is affected automatically the delivery process is also affected. The inventory process is impacted. As we saw this company works very slow because of a lot of operations. This can become the reason for mistakes in the storage department which is responsible for updating quantities and all information about the products.
So in case there is wrong information about inventory the order process cannot be completed properly. 3) The existing order process can be made more efficient by integrating an information system all over the organization. The order process would improve and become faster. Also the use of e-commerce web portal should be implemented. With the help of web portal people would be able to find all necessary information for the order by themselves reducing the time of work of the company. The web portal would give customers all necessary information to make an order.
The Term Paper on Abducted by a UFO: prevalence information affects young children’s false memories for an implausible event
SUMMARY This study examined whether prevalence information promotes children’s false memories for an implausible event. Forty-four 7–8 and forty-seven 11–12 year old children heard a true narrative about their first school day and a false narrative about either an implausible event (abducted by a UFO) or a plausible event (almost choking on a candy). Moreover, half of the children in each condition ...
They would have to fill the form with all requested fields. The fact that all necessary information will be in the system will prevent rejection of the orders. Also, the firm should stop giving the customers the option of shipping in less that standardized amount of time. All orders should be delivered according established time rules. That will be fair for all customers and will reduce saturation of the system resulting from rush deliveries. 4) Of course the company should use enterprise software for its new order process. It should be Oracle. Oracle is special enterprise software adapted for enterprise solutions.
The software is outstanding because it is more automotive and self-managed better than other software systems of that kind. Also, Oracle is made to securely protect data and enable the company totally recall the whole data. This system can protect the company from server failure, site failure, human error, and reduces planned downtime. This system not only keeps information but also analyses which can help company in decision making for improving the whole company. 5) The lack of functionality leads to the problems with order processing, the firm will not ave an updated inventory that will hurt the firm business. A lot of mistaken inventory and being out of stock leads to mistaken meaning that we actually still have the product on shelf, so that will lead us to dissatisfied customers. Not being able to check customer records to see which qualify of sales tax exemptions is also a big problem for the firm, because they will charge the customer with taxes when they are actually exempt for it. That will become the reason of stress within customers and employees and decreasing of their number that will hit n the firm wallet. Having the systems assign a date for backorder of items that are currently out of stock rather than the original date that was given to the customer will cause a lot of confusion for the customers because they think the order is ready a certain date but it really is not ready and they will call the firms customer service representatives and ask them why they order has not been shipped yet. The firm probably can determine how serious this problem by analyzing the amount of complains that firm get from both the firms employees and customers.

The questions the firm should ask are why the system does not update the inventory real time or daily. Why the system does not automatically saves the information about customer`s sales tax exempt? Why the system does not generates a different back order date than what was given to the customer? When will be a software update that will fix flaws in the system? Oracle protects from server failure, site failure, and human error, it also has a high performance data warehousing which makes inventory storing process much easier and get up to date numbers.
