Animation plays a key role in almost all movies. Either it is stop motion Animation, Traditional Animation or CGI Animation , Animation is everywhere and won’t go anywhere anytime soon. This is some examples of Animation styles. Early Animation- The earliest forms of animation are the Paleolithic cave paintings where in the images and pictures are drawn together creating a sequence of events that is expressed in the drawing. There are a lot of prehistoric paintings and drawings on caves and ancient walls that best describe an animation presentation. This is a Paleolithic cave painting.
Traditional animation- is an animation technique where each frame is drawn by hand. The technique was the dominant form of animation in cinema, until the use of computer animation which completely changed the whole aspect of animation. This is an Example of Traditional Animation, The figure looks like he/she is making a walking motion. Stop Motion Animation- is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. Clay figures are often used in stop motion for their ease of repositioning. motion animation using clay is called clay animation or clay-mation.

Although the animation is credited to O’Brien, Mr. Harryhausen animated most of Mighty Joe Young’s performance. Mighty Joe Young is a form of stop motion animation created by Ray Harryhausen. Computer-Animated Imagery (CGI)- is the application of the field of computer graphics or, more specifically, 3D computer graphics to special effects in art, video games, films, television programs, commercials, simulators and simulation generally, and printed media. The Future of Animation-One of the things I have found researching Animation and its future was 4d animation, I didn’t quite understand it so I took a definition from Wikipedia. CINEMA 4D is a modeling, animation and rendering package developed by MAXON Computer GmbH of Friedrichsdorf, Germany. It is capable of procedural and polygonal modeling, animating, lighting, texturing, rendering, and common features found in 3d modeling applications. This is a 4d animation ball found in the software “Create An eyeball” Which is used in most anime movies. China and their Animation styles-Chinese animations today can best be described in two categories. The first type are “Conventional Animations” produced by corporations of well-financed entities. These content falls along the lines of traditional 2D cartoons or modern 3D CG animated films distributed via cinemas, DVD or broadcasted on TV. This format can be summarized as a reviving industry coming together with advanced computer technology and low cost labor. The second type are “Webtoons” produced by corporations or sometimes just individuals. These contents are generally flash animations ranging anywhere from amateurish to high quality, hosted publicly or on various websites. This is an example of “Conventional Animation”
