Appearance of …. Google: looks poor, helps much Good clothes open all doors. English proverb. Its not an advertisement of one of the biggest Web Search Engines, I dont get paid for choosing Google as an object of my essay. Its just that I didnt want to write about any of my friends or myself; it would be too personal. But I decided to remember the relative experience of my yet not so long life and pick up a thing which appearance has deceived me but in the good sense of this word.
It was not a disillusionment which I actually find good too: if you are misled by something, then its better to wake up one day and just realize the truth, although it might hurt. In my case this deceivement had a positive nuance. I thought of that thing as not worth of attention but this turned to be quite a wrong impression. Internet has become a natural thing of our life. Lets admit that we all have waited that it was going to be something really great and of course it had to look unusual and somehow attractive. I knew about these numerous search machines in Internet where one could find anything! So when I found out about another new one I decided to try it.
By that time I was a quite experienced user of Internet and had an idea of how most of the web pages look (especially search machines): lots of pictures and photos, full of advertisement and banners, so that one looses himself from the very beginning and even forgets what the purpose of looking at this page was actually. So I typed www, then google, and then com and finally pressed enter. While typing I was already imagining that in a moment I get lost in another huge search machine full of these usual components. But how big the surprise was when I saw just several words letting me know where I was and nothing more. Frankly speaking I was a little bit… disappointed.

What I saw seemed to me quite boring, not entertaining. I thought I had nothing to do on this page but just on time my mind has reminded me what my purpose was: to find what I looked for. And appearance of this home page has lost all its significance at that moment, I was all taken by the results of my search. My full concentration only on found information, the variety of which was really impressing, had just took me away from such an unimportant point as how the page looked. And I found what I had looked for. You know it is great when people stop at the right moment.
I didnt do a mistake. Although even if I didnt pay attention to that search machine because I didnt like how it looked it would not be neither a great loss for me nor a terrible accident for the machine itself. But how often we judge the people by their appearance and make mistakes which either have sad and disappointing consequences for us, or what is even more horrible hurt people whom we simply ignore after our first glance at them. But just as I mentioned there are situations when one must wake up and just get rid of the delusion created by mysterious smile or beautiful eyes. Anyway I tend not to make fast conclusions about people only by their appearance. A person must not be necessarily bad and not worth of our attention or even friendship only if he has not so beautiful features, of if we do not like his dressing style. We ourselves might get into the same situation anytime: how sorry would one feel if an employer wouldnt even want to listen to his one word, or when ones admiration wont even accept a single flower because she doesnt like his shoes. One should be more patient and give a chance to a person to open up his personality just as I and many of gave the chance to the search machine. If not, than we can always throw it away! The same with people: it is so easy to throw them away but before lets unwrap and make sure whether there is chocolate or not. And I believe that every single person has his own chocolate, its just the matter of taste..
