It is my belief that I am definitely qualified for the distinguished National Junior Honor Society. I have exhibited great leadership, citizenship, character, and service in and out of school. The National Junior Honor Society is a highly reputable organization that I would love to be a part of. It is a wonderful opportunity.
I have maintained mostly A’s for my entire academic career, and I am currently in the Gifted and Talented Program, taking advanced classes. I have been on the high honor roll in both 6th and 7th grade. In addition, I was nominated by my teachers for Student of the Month in March 2014. I play the trumpet, bugle, and acoustic guitar. I am in the Middle School Band and will be a part of the High School Marching Band in 8th grade. I was nominated and took part in the NJSMA Honors Band two years in a row. Also, I take part in soccer and I am starting tennis.
Outside of school, I have been in an FLL Robotics team for the past four years, and won two teamwork awards and a robot design award in the regional competition. In addition, I have been involved in Cub Scouts and the Boy Scouts of America since second grade. Currently, I am an assistant patrol leader, and next election (June 2014) I will be running for patrol leader. We go on camping trips once every month, and if a patrol leader isn’t around I take charge until he returns.
