Part 1. Define the word ART. From reliable source one, states the word art means,” Human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the work of nature.” As well as it meaning “The conscious production or arrangement of sounds, colors, forms, movements, or other elements in a manner that affects the sense of beauty, specifically the production of the beautiful in a graphic or plastic medium.” This cite also gives us other meanings of what art is defined as.
The second reliable cite I visited stated that the definition of the word art meant, “The quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance.” ” The class of objects subject to aesthetic criteria; works of art collectively, as paintings, sculptures, or drawings: a museum of art; an art collection.” “See fine art, commercial art.” “A field, genre, or category of art: Dance is an art.” “The fine arts collectively, often excluding architecture: art and architecture. Any field using the skills or techniques of art: advertising art; industrial art.”

Part 2, Examples of the eight types of art.
1.) Painting- I found a painting by Pablo Picasso, it is called “Land Scape with dead tree-1919”, it is of the blue sky, with perfect white clouds, over mountains, and houses, covered in green grass, with two trees, which one is dead. This to me gives the definition of art by witch is “Human effort to imitate, supplement, alter, or counteract the work of nature” as well as it fits in with the definition of “The class of objects subject to aesthetic criteria; works of art collectively, as paintings, sculptures, or drawings: a museum of art; an art collection.”
The Essay on Comparison Of Avant-Garde & Formal Art Work
A Comparison of Formal and Avant-Garde Artwork Modern art is a unique creation all it’s own, and since it’s beginnings there have been two very distinct groups present. They are the Formalists and the Avant-Garde. The Formalist group believes in the literal representation of the art work. They value the form used, whether it be how the colors are stressed or the techniques used, over the idea ...
2.) Sculpture- by the French sculptor, Auguste Rodin (1840-1917).
THE KISS, is the name of the sculpture, the story behind this sculpture is that,” This sculpture has a interesting story to it. It depicts the 13th-century Italian noblewoman immortalized in Dante’s Inferno, who falls in love with her husband, Giovanni Malatesta’s, younger brother Paolo. Having fallen in love while reading the story of Lancelot and Guinevere, the couple are discovered and killed by Francesca’s husband. In the sculpture, the book can be seen in Paolo’s hand. The lover’s lips do not actually touch in the sculpture to suggest that they were interrupted, and met their demise without their lips ever having touched. When critics first saw the sculpture in 1887, they suggested the less specific title Le Baiser (The Kiss).” In my view of this sculpture I see love of a woman and a man, who have great passion for each other, I see this as being art because it is defined in the definition of art to be, “The quality, production, expression, or realm, according to aesthetic principles, of what is beautiful, appealing, or of more than ordinary significance” It is Rodin’s way of telling a story in art form of expression and beauty.
3.) Architecture- I found a beautiful architecture picture of what can be described as a mouth of windows that have a 3D effect of the ocean and beach, it is beautiful, this classifies to me to be a great piece of art because it gives a person the feel of being in the ocean and free. It also expresses the sense of beauty.
4.) Photography- I found a photo by Ben Canales, called: Photographer to the Stars. This photo is breath taking; it shows the mounts and lake at night with the stars and a hint of the galaxy. This photo is art and expresses so by its colors and dimensions, as well as the beauty behind it.
