People can not trust the producers of foods. Day by day natural ways to produce the nutriments that people eat are fading away in this sector. It affects not only people, animals, plants, but also the whole environment. Living creatures are facing some serious problems which will end up with death. On the other hand there are many people and researhers who encourage use of GMO food. The oppositions towards the idea of restriction of GMO is increased by researches of GMO supporters. GMO food helps the farmers in order to solve the drought problem and protect crops from herbicides (Scientific American’s board of editors, Fight the GM Food Scare).

In this way, the people who struggle to make a high standart living prefer GMO food instead of organic food because of its expensive cost therefore fewer people would die beacuse of hunger if the GMO food is used. The dangerous and harmful results of GM crops agriculture make up environmental damages. The second important issue which has to be argued about GMO is that its harms to animals. GMO food carries obvious risks for animals’ health. The growing process of animals of which meats can be eaten by people like chicken, cow etc. is affected by GMO. It causes to grow these animals up much earlier than the normal period of time. This situation brings about that these animals can not complete their growing up period properly. Growing a chicken in 49 days instead of three months make them nearly unable to walk. Chickens bones and organs can’t carry up their overweight therefore they lost the ability to survive. The producer companies keep chickens in the dark and never let the sunshine come in. Growing chickens in dark coops does not correspond with an ethic working definition. Subsequently, chickens are avoided to be shown the people. The companies who hide to show their wrong method of feeding aims that how they are torturing animals in the poultry house. They are afraid of that nobody would consume their products if they have a chance to see the chickens. As one can clearly see, animals which are used by these companies, suffer from GMO from birth to the death. Like these examples GMO affects humans in several ways. Obesity and diabetes become the modern age disease because of the sugar, corn and soybean in GMO food. The avarage life time of humanity is decreased because of the illnesses which are stems from GMO. On the other hand, big cultivation and meat companies can do what they want to do with farmers. Farmers are threatened with loss of contract unless they obey companies’ rules about buying expensive equipments for factory. The evil side of GMO shows its face in the producing area too. Workers are not working under healthy working conditions which is based on human rights. African-American men and people from Texas are being used in jobs which are contained death risks. Eventually both the workers and the consumers are suffering from GMO. The only winners are the big bosses. Every genetically engineered part of the food is one of the most harmful things on the verge of human health. Like the European countries did, Turkey also should have taken some cautions against it to save both their people and their natural life.
As mentioned above it is harmful not only humans but also animals and the environment. Consequently Turks have to avoid promoting GMO and stop consuming it because this is the only way to decrease its harmful effects. For more, organic food industry should be favored if the consumers have economic framework. Natural food costs more expensive although it is Kayar 4 totally worth it. Many people’s hope is the future predictions about GMO will not be seen and be stopped somehow. Restriction of GMO in Turkey is a good start to avoid its effects. In Turkey there is no differrent strategy which is applied to avoid GMO consuming beside other countries in the world .
