1. There is a Quaker saying: Let your life speak. Describe the environment in which you were raised–your family, home, neighborhood or community–and how it influenced the person you are today. I was born in a quite conventional and traditional family and raised with strong religious values. My father has always been the authority figure in the family: deeply disciplined, strong and emotional though he seldom chooses to show his emotions. Constant strive, hard work and love for sports has all been instilled in me by him which has made me quite a good all-round student. My mum owns her own store and is as humorous and carefree as my father is reserved. Her positive outlook in life, her ability not to be daunted by any calamity comes her way and her giving nature has most influenced me as a person today. Her character has bought out the more humane side of my personality.

2. Self-identity and personal expression take many forms. Use the richness of your life to give us insight: Who are you?
Without sounding self-praising, the first word I will use to describe myself is determined. I have always been determined to work hard, be it in studies or extra curricular activities. I try to strive for perfection in everything I do. Academically, I am quite consistent, having been on the Dean List for 3 semesters. I have always had a GPA of 3.3 or above.
But I also understand the importance of balance and have always tried to be active both I sports and additional activities. I was on my high school soccer team and we have even been district champions. I was also actively involved in extra curricular activities throughout my education years such as the Year Book in high school, the Business Club in college along with being an active member of both the International Student Association and the Phi Theta Kappa International Society. Being aware of the importance of social work, I have done quite a bit of volunteering work including visiting the elderly and being manager of the Christmas Child Operation.
So, in short, who am I? Just another student, but one intent on working hard and striving for excellence to achieve my dreams for the future.
