ATTRIBUTES PAPER
After reading Maslow’s thirteen Attributes, I feel like I would like to work on improving some areas in my life. The first improvement would be higher frequency of peak experiences. Then I would work on increased identification with the human species. Finally I would work on increased detachment and desire for privacy.
While reading the eighth attribute, I realized that I have to broaden my horizons. I sometime do thing by the book. I have realized that there is much more to life than what is in my safe zone. To reach this goal I plan on experience life to its fullest potential, to get that feeling of wonder and awe.
As I continued reading the attributes I realized another section I would like to work on is increased identification with the human species. Thinking back on certain situations I have noticed that I can be Judgmental. Not having to do with gender or race but with social statues. I realized I don’t give these certain people the benefit of the doubt. I will work on this to bring more harmony in my life.
Finally the third attribute I would like to work on is increased detachment and desire for privacy. I have a fear of being alone. I know I have to start to be responsible for myself. Working on this step would probably be the hardest for me because I have a fear of being lonely and alone.
I know I’m far from being the perfect human being. After reading Maslow’s thirteen attributes I feel like I can come that much closer with being at peace with myself. I will work hard on completing these steps. I know once I complete this journey I will be at peace.
