1.)
The day before my sister’s baby shower, I spoke to a friend who was suppose to be helping me plan and decorate for the big event. We talked about what kind of decorations I would bring to the party and what types of finger foods my sister wanted served during the shower. We sat for hours thinking of different themes and what kind of finger foods that would go with the chosen theme. We finally settled on a theme, time and food.
Later that afternoon we were scheduled to meet at my sister’s house and to my surprise, my shower helper was a no show. I had already been waiting for a few hours. I called her up and asked what was the problem and she told that she was in Tampa getting her hair, nails, eyelashes and feet done; as if the baby shower was for her anyway. As you can imagine I was very upset because I had already gave up my plans for that day to get everything started with the baby shower. As I waited around, I thought of a couple of things I could be doing while I waited for my stupid friend. I went grocery shopping, went to the mall and bought a few items I would give to my sister as gift for her new baby.
Finally, I became annoyed and irritated by the lack of communication I had with my friend so I called her one last time and left a nasty message on her voice mail. I told her if she didn’t want to help me plan for the baby shower she should not have volunteered to help. I had told her how selfish she was for even considering leaving to go and get her hair, nails along with everything else before any of the plans were completed. I was so mad I had gotten a terrible headache. I got in my car and headed home to put something on my stomach to see if I could get rid of the pounding headache my friend had caused. Evening quickly came and I found myself back on the phone trying to effectively communicate once again.
The Essay on Conflicts Arise In The Play Friend Sister Kirk
What conflicts arise in the play? How are they resolved? Are the resolutions acceptable to other characters? To yourself, the reader? I found that in the play "Riot," by Andrew Moodie that the conflicts that arose throughout the play were of a extent that had no boundaries. Throughout the play, Moodie successfully illustrates various types of character conflicts. Friend vs. friend, brother vs. ...
2.) It was an early Friday afternoon, the sun was shining and I was ready to get my day started with planning my sister baby shower. My friend and I decided that we were going to give my sisters the best baby shower she had ever had. We met at the local star bucks to decide on a theme and what kind of food we would be serving. There were some ideas of having a baby workshop with a secretive hiding agenda that would later tell the identity of the baby. After a few minutes of talking, both of our mouths were watering for a hot cup of coffee.
After the first cup of coffee we were ready to go with new and interesting ideas. I had come up with the idea of having a bedtime story theme. I would take four tables and dress them up like little boys bedrooms. My friend would be in charge of getting the food cooked and prepared around the center piece in the middle of the room before the shower took place. The next thing we had to decide on was whether who would design the cake. We debated on it and came up with Publix supermarket because they were the best in town and plus, everyone loved their cake. After we had figured out who was going to be doing what for the baby shower we could now concentrate on smaller details like getting our self ready to present at the shower. We made the decision to get our hair done a day before everything was to take place so things could go as planned.
Finally the day had arrived; this was the big day that everyone would see what team work was all about. The house was set up beautifully and the food looked great. We had even manage to be so well prepared that we were both able to have our hair done, eyelashes and feet done, not to mention even time to shop at the mall for a new outfit together. The baby shower was smash hit.
