Benefits of Healthy Food
Food always will be an important part of our lives. Because of its significance, food is used globally. We have food all around the world and it varies depending on what part of continent or country we live in. The reason we have variety of food types is the originality of each of us. We choose what is the best for us and what is more accessible. People have different opinions about the utility of the food we consume. It is really important to understand the main reason food was invented in this world. Our wrong, unhealthy choices of nutrients can easily destroy our bodies. In order to stay healthy, people should think healthy. I believe a healthy, well balanced diet; along with physical activity, is the foundation of good health. Eating in healthy manner maintains body’s function, helps to manage healthy body weight and plays an important role in prevention some serious diseases.
Quantity and quality of food we intake is very important. In order to feel energized during the day, we have to limit our diet by consuming only essential nutrients our body needs. Consumption of a right amount of proteins, carbohydrates and fats make us feel full, so we do not have to open up the refrigerator every hour looking for food as we do when we eat junk food or just snack all the time. When I eat a healthy breakfast, I feel more productive and much more active than I would do after visiting a fast food place or after having a bag of chips. From my own experience I can say that a healthy meal fills you up but makes you feel light, boosts up your self-esteem, and your mood. Eating a lot of unhealthy foods, in contrast, can take a toll on person’s body. You feel sluggish, irritable, and you do not have a lot of energy. Also, a generous amount of food can cause stomach problems, which definitely ruin the mood for the whole day. You have no interest in doing anything, you become lazy and waste your precious time. Having a limited, healthy meals throughout the day make you feel great, also it makes your organism give you hundred percent of its ability and simply keeps you happy.

Having a healthy body weight is also very important for our health. In order to maintain a healthy body weight we should consume healthy food. Unhealthy food is a main factor of getting excessive body mass and it is a main thing we should work on if we want to lose extra weight. The more unhealthy food we intake, the higher is the risk to gain extra pounds. Most of the young people do not have a problem with gaining weight because of their good metabolism, but in early 30s metabolism slows down. Most people get overweight just in several years and then they wonder why. It is very important to start managing your weight as soon as possible. Getting used to healthy eating habits might take some time, and if you start earlier the happier you are going to be in the future. I suggest everyone to start a healthy eating plan. It will not only manage your body weight but also change your eating habits. Best choices of healthy food can be fresh fruits like apples, pears or exotic fruits. In my opinion exotic fruits are the best things on this earth, for example, mango, kiwi, pineapple and dragon fruit. Also, adding colorful food on your diet plan like vegetables would be a great idea. Vegetables provide your organism with water, vitamins and minerals. Lastly, calcium rich foods like low fat milk and yogurts are considered healthy. It is very important to consume calcium for your bone health. This list might seem too limited but I think these products fill your body with everything it needs. During healthy eating you do not really have to give up your favorite comfort food. You just have to eat them once in a while, balancing them out with other foods and more physical activity. If you have a healthy eating plan be sure whatever your goal body weight is you will definitely reach it, just give it some time and patience.

Healthy eating is associated with reduced risk for many diseases, cancer, stroke and diabetes. High cholesterol is the main factor of getting a heart disease or diabetes. The main source of cholesterol is unhealthy food. For example, egg yolk, butter, fried food, processed food and cheese. All of these products can be found in breakfast of any fast food restaurants. While enjoying the delicious meal, we are not even realizing that we higher the risk of getting a heart disease. Unhealthy food choices lead us to unhealthy body, while healthy food improves our brain function, and boosts up our mood. A healthy eating person is a happy person, because he or she has a lower risk to have heart diseases or diabetes. In other words, healthy food is a lifesaver.
As I mentioned before, a right food choice is beneficial in many ways. Clean eating provides us with enough energy our body needs. Also, it plays the most important role in managing a healthy body weight. Lastly, healthy eating lowers the risks of getting diseases. Every one has his/her own opinion about a healthy lifestyle. As David Zinczenko, in his essay “Don’t Blame the Eater”, states, “I learned how to manage my diet. But most of the teenagers who live, as I once did, on a fast-food diet won’t turn their lives around: They’ve crossed under the golden arches to a likely fate of lifetime obesity. And the problem isn’t just theirs – it’s all of ours” (392).
The author is trying to say that it is really difficult for people to change their eating habits. Not everyone has a strong will to change their life around, so they just continue to eat fast food despite the horrible consequences it may cause. I agree with Zinczenko that eating fast food is a problem and I consider healthy eating as one of the most important parts of my live. Healthy food makes me who I am and definitely betters my future.
