I had never thought about how a blind person perceives the world until I started doing this work, I stopped for five minutes and think on how a blind person thinks, or sees, if they never had seen something. I imagine on how a person might imagine colors, or how they might represent them, or even how they imagine things if they don’t know what are colors. For a moment I close my eyes and tried to imagine how a blind person imagine, but I knew that it was not working, this was because I imagine a notebook, and I knew they didn’t now how a notebook look like, maybe the form it was, but not the different images that all the notebooks had.
All of these things I imagine make me had more curiosity on the way blind people think, or even imagine. “He knew my car was poorly parked because he produced a brief, sharp click with his tongue. The sound waves he created traveled at a speed of more than 1,000 feet per second, bounced off every object around him, and returned to his ears at the same rate, though vastly decreased in volume. But not silent. Kish has trained himself to hear these slight echoes and to interpret their meaning.
Standing on his front stoop, he could visualize, with an extraordinary degree of precision, the two pine trees on his front lawn, the curb at the edge of his street, and finally, a bit too far from that curb, my rental car. Kish has given a name to what he does – he calls it “FlashSonar” – but it’s more commonly known by its scientific term, echolocation. ”(FINKEL, 2011) I choose this quote because I found it very interesting, this men that has been blind since he was born could refine the ability of hearing things so well, that he could imagine everything that is happening up to 1000ft apart him.
The Essay on Stage Of Development Person Issue Thing
What makes a person a person? Does a fetus qualify? I'm asking for people just to work hard to get some clarity on this issue. It's not that hard. If I've heard this once, I've heard it a dozen times: 'This is a difficult issue. It's a confusing issue. It's hard to come to a real, proper understanding.' The abortion issue is not a difficult issue. It is not a confusing issue. It is a very simple ...
In this quote we could see most part of what a blind person since birth is capable of, they can imagine things, not as well as the people that can see, but they imagine things in their own way. Sometimes this blind people, might not develop the ability of touching or maybe hearing, so is harder for them to imagine things like they are. I remember one day one teacher was telling me a story of a class that he had back in Australia, and he told me that he had a blind child in class, and that he was the most intelligent boy in all the class.
He told me that he could talk with him even it they where very far apart and there was a lot of noise, going on at that moment around them. But he also told me that he explain how cells where, and he could understand, but when he talked about red blood cells, and white blood cells the things come difficult. This was because he tried to explain how colors where, but the boy didn’t understand how the colors where. So about this story I was told.
I could see how this boy is very intelligent, and can find thing simple, but at the moment they tried to explain colors he could not imagine how the colors where. And this could be a very difficult stage for this kid, because almost everything in the world is explain with colors, and they can’t imagine what people are talking about. “Eros is about a young blind man who always struggled with his inability to imagine the world around him. He just couldn’t shape things like color and beauty in his mind.
This all changes when he meets a curious girl, someone who will change things for once and for all. ” (Geraedts, 2009) in this short movie we can have a base point of how blind people perceive the world, even if it is no identical we can see how most of the time their images are in black, maybe they are some shines (color shines in the movie).
The Essay on Lovely People do Stupid things
How is love to influence our lives? Love-struck people do crazy things to express how they care for that particular person yet it is a long and windy road to these actions. It is down this path that experience spawns and trouble and happiness are felt. Janie Crawford of Zora Neale Hurston?s Their Eyes Were Watching God, shows the road through the steps of her three relationships. These ...
The ones we know that don’t appear in blind people, just because they can not perceive them, only if they one could see and then they became blind. ” Yes, blind people do dream.
What they see in their dreams depends on how much they could ever see. If someone has been totally blind since birth, they only have auditory dreams. If someone such as I has had a measure of sight, then that person dreams with that measure of sight. I still dream as though I can see, colors included. For people I’ve met since, there faces are just blurs or how I imagine they look. To me, someone like my mother looks forever 30. An “auditory dream” is a dream with only sounds and no images.
Basically, the dreams of someone who’s been blind from birth are just like the dreams that you have – just without the pictures. ”(Department of Physics University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, 2006) In this quote of a blind girl, we can see how she tell us that her dreams are, but she also explains us how other blind peoples dreams are. With she’s way of talking we can see how she doesn’t suffer about this disability, and how she learns to life with it. After this research about blind people, I can conclude that this people don’t have an easy life.
They cannot imagine what people around them are talking about, they cannot imagine the colors, because the colors can’t be touch and neither explains. But we can also tell that people that have seen, and then become blind, they could imagine the colors, they could imagine things as they knew they where. Maybe sometimes is difficult for them to imagine things and colors, but at the end they can do it, but it might also depend on the age they become blind, because if there where too small they will not remember anything, so they will be consider as blind since birth.
