I also chose him because he is a football legend Brett was born in a small town called Kiln, Mississippi, on October 10, 1969. Hew as given the name Brett Lorenzo Favre.
He also grew up in this small town where he was as the second oldest of his family. His parents were Irvin and Bonita Favre. Both his parents worked at Hancock North Central High school. Irvin, being a teacher, baseball coach and football coach, and Bonita was a special education teacher.

In high school he played quarterback as he decided he was going to do when he was young. He not only played football, he also played baseball. He earned five letters in baseball (he led team in batting all five seasons) and three in football at Hancock North Central High School. He went on to college at Southern Miss.
He holds 16 records for being a quarter back at this college. A car accident held Brett from finishing his senior year of college football. The accident, most likely, cost him a NFL first round pick in 1991. To his astonishment he was drafted in the second round (being 33 rd over-all) by the Atlanta Falcons. He was usually benched since he only played a total of two games with 5 throws and no completions. He was traded to the Green Bay Packers in 1992.
He led the Packers to a winning season being 9 and 7. He went on to hold many honors and records as a Green Bay Packer. He was a member of Super Bowl championship team in 1996. In both 1995 and 1996 seasons he was the league leader in touchdowns. I think Brett Favre is a great hero for all children who would like to have a sporting career or any career. This is because of his great attitude towards the game and never would give up, even after his first season in the NFL playing for the Falcons on the bench.
