In High Noon, the outdoors portrays a feeling of uneasiness and danger. The outdoors seemed to be where everything bad happens in the film. The bad guys tended to be outdoors the majority of the film and the final battle took place outdoors. In the beginning of the film, Marshal Will Kane is seen as a heroic figure in a position of high power. We are able to understand how important he is from all of the low camera angles on him, portraying him as very powerful and important.
High Noon is not a typical Western film as the very person appointed for controlling all the crime and trouble in the town is now portrayed as a trouble maker himself. The justice in the town seems to disappear. All high officials who generally play a part in keeping the town safe have either quit or fled and the only one who is left to defend the town is Marshall Will Kane. The time works differently, instead of thing taking place over a long period of time (for example days, weeks, years), it takes place over a couple of hours. This movie contains very god fearing people.
When Kane goes to the Church to request help, they are all ready to help him until one person makes them all reconsider as they are too petrified of Frank Miller who for some unknown reason was pardoned and released from prison. People tend to feel safer inside in the safety of their homes or inside any building. When they are outside, there is this feeling of uneasiness and danger. The outdoors give off a sense of danger and how people should rather stay away from going outside but rather stick to the comforts of their own homes for their own protection.

We see things mainly through Kane’s perspective from the over-the-shoulder shots but we also see how in certain scenes Kane is seen as powerful and heroic whereas in others he is diminished and depicted as inferior, like when he is on his way to meet Frank Miller and the three other thugs. They are seen as strong and powerful whereas Kane is seen as weak and inferior to them. Brokeback Mountain also is not just another typical Western movie. It tells a story of two strangers who in the beginning had nothing to do with each other but after only a few weeks they were passionate lovers.
This movie is set out with big trucks and all of the buildings are verticals and horizontals which indicates restriction. Nothing is different in the town; it is all the same old boring, dull town which seems as though nothing eventful could happen there. Brokeback Mountain takes place over a period of twenty years. Every time we see our two main characters, several years have passed before they will see each other again. There are several years in between Ennis and Jack’s get-togethers but even though sometimes they only see each other after several years, each time they are with each other was like they have never left.
In this movie, our two main characters, Ennis Del Mar and Jack Twist, are trying to make their “unacceptable” relationship work. When they first meet, it is 1963 and this was before there were any gay rights. Ennis was not happy with the whole gay couple idea as he had seen as a kid what was done to a supposedly gay couple who lived together. Since Ennis was so scared of this, he refused to move in with Jack and so rejected Jack every time he brought it up. The songs in this movie played a significant part. Every situation that happened had a song that matched it completely.
The songs related to the event going on in the movie for example the continuous playing of the song “do not forsake me” in High Noon would speed up or slow down according to the situation in the film. In Brokeback Mountain, the songs such as “No one is going to love you like me”, “As long as we can ride it”, “The king of the road”, “A love that will never grow old”, “Devil’s right hand”, each of these songs related to a specific scene in the movie in which it was being played. The same soundtrack is always playing every time Jack and Ennis are with each other.
The Essay on Overweight People Jack Movies Farley
Anyone who loves comedies as much as I do will notice that in many comedies overweight people are used as a tool of humor. Now I'll be honest I laugh along with everyone else at these movies but sometimes it's not really funny. Gwenth Paltrow acted out the role of an overweight woman in Shallow Hal. Mike Myers played Fat Bastard in the Austin Power movies. Chris Farley played Tommy in Tommy Boy as ...
One very significant thing that occurs during Brokeback Mountain is that Ennis and Jack have only ever spoken about their sexual relationship once; after that they had never spoken about it again. They simply just continued to meet up and continue doing it but never once spoke about it. In Brokeback Mountain, nature is seen as freeing and beautiful whereas inside is seen as cramped, dull, lifeless and miserable. The outdoors show freedom and the beauty of nature which is why whenever Jack and Ennis meet up, it is outdoors and generally camping, just like old times.
