Cowardice In this article, Bush talks about how the terrorist that bombed the World Trade Center and the Pentagon are viewed as Cowards. As the article states, ” The coward is not man enough to say it to your face and instead chooses to say it behind your back… can be associated with the sissy, the pussy, the pansy, and other derogatory terms.” President Bush is trying to say that Osama Bin Laden should have confronted him before he decided to high jack the planes. He also thinks that Osama has no pride and dignity and instead, had 19 men sacrifice their lives for their country. There was also a statement about how Bush sent cruise missiles from 2000 miles away; I think there might be a little hypocrisy on his part too.
In my opinion, I agree that it was cowardly for Osama to send his men to do the dirty work instead of him. But I think in their eyes sacrificing their life for their country could be the best thing that someone could ever do, and could be honorable. So the question asks, “Could the men who bombed New York and Washington, D. C.
on 9/11 be considered anything other than cowards? The answer depends on who it’s being asked to. Some people in Afghanistan might say they were heroes and other might not. Some people in America might say they were bastards and other degrading terms and some might not. It all depends on the person’s views but I think most would say that those actions were uncalled for and there should be justice. Overall I think Pres. Bush should have thought of another word than “coward” to describe Osama Bin Laden and the other terrorist because suicide bombing isn’t cowardly at all but something else..
