During my whole life of education received it has led me to make many contributions to the Hispanic community of Miami dade county. However, while not yet finishing with my education I do plan on making big contributions to the Hispanic community now and in the future. The Hispanic community has many activities where everyone can get involved including others and myself. When I say, “making a contribution,” I mean as participating in an event that takes place every year. Calle Ocho is a festival that takes place in Miami Dade County. Calle Ocho is celebrated by most Hispanics in the state of Florida. My contribution was when I attended the festival the first time in life. While being there, I donated $55 dollars to a bucket that was being passed around.
The donation is supposed to be for next year’s festival, which consisted of music, food and several entertainers. While being under age there has not been one good advantage. Now turning 18 years old I have recently found out there is at least one good advantage of being the legal age and that would be voting. Voting would be a big contribution on my part because one of the best candidates of Miami dade county happens to be Hispanic, Alex Penelas. I fell that my vote was a great contribution because while being a Hispanic he takes care of his Hispanic community as well as others surrounding him. My education has also led me to contribute to Cinco de Mayo (5 of May).
The Essay on Is Community Education a Myth
From this point I will consider four questions involving whether or not Community Education was invented by community educators, how key terms like reflection and dialogue contribute to understanding Community Education. Alongside this, whether Community Education was constructed as a myth and the impact that it has on people who didn’t necessarily ask for it. Finally I will draw some conclusions ...
While being in highschool, I have learned alot of important dates and Cinco de Mayo happened to be one of them. Cinco de Mayo is a holiday celebrated by Hispanic’s all over the world.
For some Hispanic’s Cinco de Mayo was considered to be a sympathetic holiday because many people died during the war. Cinco de Mayo was also known as a special holiday where a festival is held, it consists of food, music, and costumes. My contribution was helping friends of mine design there costumes and help fix dishes that were going to be taken and much more. Making this contribution made me very good. I contributed to the Hispanic community by protesting in favor of Elian Gonzalez relatives, which was to keep him in the United States for the rest of his life. My education has taken a big part of that contribution because it led me to do the right thing.
While being in school I have all types of people surrounding me and the one important thing that I learned was that everyone deserves there freedom no matter what color or religion they are. Unfortunately he did not stay so therefore this would bring the Hispanic community together as well as others. Eventhough, I dont know that much about the Hispanic community as I should, but I do plan to learn as I continue to contribute throughout the years. While making my contributions to Calle Ocho, Cinco de Mayo and the Elian Gonzalez protest it took a special part in my life.
