To sir / madam , I am writing to you to tell you how strongly I feel that capital punishment should be abolished. I hope you have the time to read through this, and feel the same way I do about this issue. Thanks Rebecca Capital Punishment. Should be abolished The death penalty is a cruel penalty. A prisoner waiting to die in it’s self is cruel enough punishment, A person suffers mentally and in some case’s physically. I feel death penalty is an escape, guilt will overcome a criminal crime with life imprisonment.
One form of punishment could be life imprisonment instead of death. Capital punishment should be abolished everywhere. There are many different types of punishing people as I have said already life imprisonment, city work (cleaning city’s up), farming, etc… That is a much better form torture, then death. They should suffer and be behind bars like animals, mentally suffering till they die. Records, research and studies show that since capital punishment has been abolished the murder rate has decreased.

The rate of homicide has gone down since 1976. (But not by much).
The biggest reason for the debate of Capital punishment is considered cruel and unusual punishment. It’s not really doer who suffers the pain of the death penalty, (only for a couple of seconds).
It’s mainly the family and friends who suffer. Who do the people; who decide if the die or not, think they are to play God, We didn’t create man so we don’t get to say when they die..
