In this drama, a wealthy land owner, Big Daddy is celebrating his sixty-fifth birthday. The familys conflicts are suddenly, relentlessly exposed in an explosive series of climax that forces each of them to realize that their father (Big Daddy) is dying of The play starts out in Nile Valley, at Big Daddys house. His family is planning a birthday party for him. His two children Brick Gooper, and their wives are talking about decorations for the party. Brick, is the alcoholic son, that is tortured by the death of his best friend and his guilt about their relationship.
Brick feels responsible for his best friend (Skippers) death. Gooper is the son that doesnt care for his brother or his father, all he wants is to inherit his fathers money after he dies. Maggie, is Bricks wife. She is tormented by her longing for husband that despises her, and she cannot possess her need for security. Mae is Goopers wife, she is just like her husband. They have several children and not enough money to take care of them.
