Celebrities are constantly in the media for their outrageous or strange antics. Nowadays it doesn’t take a lot to be known as a ‘celeb’. The influence of the ‘Celebrity world’ has led to extreme effects, especially amongst youths, as most magazines are full of tabloids and attention seeking articles which speak little truth. Not only this, but the images of celebrities are usually quite false due to the constant need for perfection and ‘beauty’ which means that people automatically assume looking good is the answer to everything. Their private lives, more than ever, are portrayed and somewhat painted through the lenses of mass media. The media do not hesitate to ludicrously invade celebrities’ personal lives. They should be treated as normal citizens who have every right to attain privacy over the ungainly scrutiny of the public. The most personal details of their lives are splashed all over the front pages of the Globe. Even a celebrity’s family is hauled into the spotlight which I think is too bad. The information that gets spread tends to make people form strong opinions on the celebrity. When celebrities try to do things normal people do, like eat out or attend a football game, they run the risk of being interrupted by thoughtless autograph hounds, or mobbed by aggressive fans. It’s understandable that it’s a reporters or journalists job to provide readers with the latest and hottest news, but many journalists make up stories from what they have about a celebrity in order to make their articles more attractive. Paparazzi also, they go way too far. I don’t think it is acceptable for someone to be taking pictures of another human being and invading their privacy just because there that little bit better known then an ordinary person. People believe that they shouldn’t have privacy as it’s their own fault for becoming famous;
