There are many different religions with different World View of criminology. Criminology started off during the ancient times like the Old Testament which was during the biblical times. When people were responding to revenge or taking matters in their own hands Exodus 21:24-25 eyes for eye tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, (Bible.com).
Also, during the time of BCC when individuals would commit crimes they would be punishing there punishment was torture. God create the government to protect and serve the people during that time when crimes were committed it offended God. Romans 13:4 say “For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer (Bible.com).
Sin and the Need for Government, Why did God create government?
As soon as Adam and Eve sinned, government became necessary eventually. Otherwise you would have the law of the jungle, survival of the fittest, Hobbes wrote: “During the time men live without a common power to keep them all in awe, they are in that conditions called war; and such a war, as if of every man, against every man. The founders of our nation realized that because man was sinful, man needed to be ruled by law, and so they sought to establish a government of law and not men. Hence our Republic as opposed to a pure democracy (mark12ministries).
After the fall you have the first murder of Cain and able of brother killing another brother born of the same parents, and second murder was Lamench whom killed a young boy then another murder and when God realize that mankind was so wicked God was sorry that he what man have become and he sent the flood (mark12ministries).

Paul says in Rom13.3 that rulers are a terror for those who do wrong, implying that the purpose of government is to restrain evil and commend what is good. That is the essence of what government is for. As a Christian, the belief that the government is there to help the American people is a blessing because this is the government our God put in place. All things happened for a reason, if there’s someone in the Whitehouse, House of Congress, Senate and our Courts are they because that’s there destiny that God have over there life.
