I live in Missouri, and so coming to Lindenwood was a nice transition for me. I have had a wonderful college experience, while being so close to home. I was surprised by the cultural diversity on the campus, and the ways that the classes were taught. It was very easy to make friends, and it will be sad to be transferring next semester. Also, the cafeteria food was something that I learned to avoid, and I ate at home as much as I could! I have really enjoyed Lindenwood, and I don’t have many complaints! The cultural diversity on campus is overwhelming at first, but I have gotten used to it and love it! It is all so interesting, and the people are very nice. For my work and learn, I worked at the Spellman cafeteria and scanned people’s cards as they came to eat. Being up at the front and seeing a bunch of different people was so fun for me, and I have gotten pretty good at understanding many different accents! The classes that I was in were challenging, but I loved the way that they were taught!
They were discussion-based classes, and I think that the majority of people learn better in those kinds of settings. My professors were all great, and offered their help whenever it was needed. I did pretty well in all of my classes, and I thank the professors for that. The food in the cafeterias at Lindenwood wasn’t the best. It was pretty much the same every day, especially in Evans, and after a while it just doesn’t sound appealing anymore! I work every day right by my house and I just go there for dinner every night in order to avoid the cafeteria food. They could do a better job of supplying the cafeterias with better and healthier options, but most people are please with it so I’m sure that will never happen. My overall experience at Lindenwood has been great, and I am really going to miss it!
