Colorguard is fun. You start in what is called marching band and then you compete in what is known as winterguard. you get to chase around band guys especially the ones who play trumpet. You travel to different parts of the United States to compete for the number 1 title. My colorguard got 1 st place for two years in a row with the marching band’s help of course and we got first for winterguard in 1999. I am a junior in high school and I am 19 years old.
I have been doing colorguard for 5 years going on 6 and I love it. All of my future plans are based on colorguard. I would love to go to UMASS and march in the marching band and maybe hopefully get onto sabre or rifle, which i doubt it. Colorguard is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me and I don’t plan on losing an opportunity of a lifetime to do something I love, it just wouldn’t be fair for the amount of time and effort I have put into 5 years of colorguard. This is one amazing sport. Colorguard is better than cheerleading itself.

They just stand there and try (key word) to work the audience and or the football teams. We don’t need a foot ball team and we definately don’t need a cheerleading squad to ruin our marching band season. Marching Band and Colorguard vs. Cheerleaders.
I want to just go up to a cheerleader and smack them across the face.
