Two cities, New York City and Bangkok, have several things in common. First of all, both New York City, which is in the United States, and Bangkok, which is in Thailand, are the most populous and densely populated city in their country. New York City, the 25th most congested city in the world, has over 8.4 million people. Likewise, the population of Bangkok, which is the 26th most crowded city in the world, is roughly estimated at 8.3 million or 12.6 percent of the country’s population. In addition, a similarity between New York City and Bangkok is a metropolitan region. According to Euromonitor International’s top city destinations ranking in 2012, New York City and Bangkok are the 8th and the 3rd most international tourist arrived city in the world, respectively.
Moreover, they have significant impacts to commerce, finance, education, art, fashion, media, and entertainment of their countries. Finally, New York City’s transportation system is similar to Bangkok’s transportation system which is comprehensive. For instance, New York City has an extensive network of expressways and parkways, with which link nearby cities to each other, and so does Bangkok, which has expressways and motorway routes bringing traffic into and out of the city center. Furthermore, they also have inclusive public transportations such as subway system, rail network, buses, taxis, and air transport. For these reasons, New York City and Bangkok are alike.
