Competency Statement VI Professionalism

Competency Statement VI (To maintain a commitment to professionalism) My professional skills meet this standard because I am committed to providing valuable work ethics that meet the needs of the children, parents, the community, and the facility at which I work. Professionalism should be one of the main priorities and any work place. I exhibit the characteristics of a professional by doing my best to meet the needs for every child on a daily basis. I do not bring any of my personal issues into the facility and only speak and act professionally to my co-workers, children, as well as the parents. CS VI a I chose to become an early childhood professional because I have a heart for children and meeting their needs. I have worked with the children at my church for years and I love it. Once I started as a teacher assistant at my job, and was able to work with children with special needs, I thought this is what my passion is. So I worked hard as an assistant until I advanced as a lead, and then a teacher with my own classroom. I love my job, and learn a lot on a daily basis. I finished my Bachelor’s degree and now is pursuing my CDA to get my own facility!
