This study intended to analyze the proposed online enrollment system and the current computerize enrollment system of Olivarez College.
Specifically, this study sought to find answer to the following questions:
1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of:
1.1 Age,
1.2 Gender,
1.3 Year Level, and
1.4 Course?
2. To what extent does the current enrollment system needs enhancement, as regards:
2.1 efficiency,
2.2 accuracy,
2.3 relaiability,
2.4 robustness, and
2.5 flexibility?
3. Is there a significant difference on the perception of the respondents with regards to the enhancement of the current enrollment system, in terms of the variables in no. 2? 4. Based on the findings of the study, what improvements are necessary to develop the on-line enrollment system?
Summary of Findings1. Finding showed that out of 50 respondents 33 or 66% were male and 17 or 34% were female. This suggests that majority of the respondents were male. In terms of age, 1 or 2% were below 18 years old, 25 or 50% were 18 to 20 years old and 24 or 48% were over 20 years of age, revealing that majority of the respondents were over 20 years old.
The findings also showed the percentage that 22 or 44% of the respondents were Computer Science students and 28 or 56% were business administration students. This means that majority of the respondents were coming from the business administration students. 2. The findings revealed that the current enrollment system demonstrated efficient performance and the application of information to perform a required task interpreted as “moderate extent” with a weighted mean of 2.56. The indicator of easy to utilize and use had a weighted mean of 2.17 interpreted as to “least extent”. The current system completes its purpose without wasting resources had weighted mean of 2.13 interpreted as “least extent”. Convenient to use had weighted mean of 2.16 interpreted as “least extent”. Finally, reduces inventory cost got a mean of 2.73 interpreted as “moderate extent”.
