A stakeholder in a business is any individual or group with an interest in the decisions made by that company. Some of the stakeholders are internal to the business, such as its employees. Some are external to the business such as Google users. The key stakeholders in a business are customers, suppliers, employees, local and national communities and government. Employees- employees are one of a company’s most important assets; a committed workforce helps a business to achieve its objectives and aims. Google has created a department called ‘People Operations’ (usually know as “Human Resources”), what they do is find employees, train them and keep them for the improvement of Google. This is basically bringing the world’s most inventive, original, imaginative, inspired and ingenious people to Google and building programs that help them flourish. Customers- whatever Google does will either have a negative or positive impact on users, but one of the aims of Google is to make sure that the users are always happy. Customers want a business to produce high quality valued products for low prices, as they want to see offers and bargains that will be a better value of money. Shareholders- shareholders at Google do not get involved in the day-to-day decisions of Google; however they have the right to vote at annual general meetings (agm).
