Notes for current affair of Pakistan: 1. Terrorism in Pakistan: The foremost issues Pakistan facing is Terrorism. Pakistan is facing severe problems due to terrorist activities in several cities of Pakistan. There is no single group who can be blamed for these activities taking place. The so called name for these terrorist groups is Taliban. There are 27 different groups of Taliban. The terrorist activities increased after the rule of dictator, General Parvez Musharaf. Most people think that the steps taken by Musharaf were the reasons for increased terrorist activities. For instance, an incident of Lal Masjid in Islamabad was planned by Musharaf.
But in fact this was not the only reason that became roots for terrorist activities in Pakistan. The most targeted parts of Pakistan by terrorist are Peshawar, Quetta, Karachi and many other cities like Dera Ismail Khan. However, thousands of people were killed in these terrorist activities. 2. Drone attacks and killing of Mehsud Leader of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan(TTP): Another current issue which greatly affected Pakistan is Drone attacks by super power United States of America in FATA.
The violation of human rights in Pakistan by U.S drone attacks is strictly condemned by the citizens of Pakistan and people around the world. This is the most triggering issue that is being discussed everywhere in Pakistan especially in media.
The discussion is also going on in National Assembly of Pakistan of how to stop Drone Attacks. The leader of Pakistan tehreek-e-insaaf (PTI), Imran Khan is against the drone attacks and is warning Pakistan government to ask U.S to stop Drone Attacks otherwise his party will stop Nato Supply. Other political leaders like Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman are also against these drone attacks. Along with this the negotiation was going to take place between Tehreek Taliban Pakistan and Government of Pakistan, but killing of Mehsud the leader of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan put barrier on further negotiation.

The recent efforts by Nawaz Sharif to make peace negotiations with home-grown insurgents, the TTP, were failed after killing of Mehsud. This created issue of national security of Pakistan and as a result Pakistan is losing its credibility. 3. Yaum-e-Ashura: The recent tragedy took place in Rawalpindi during progression of Ashura due to the sectarian violence. In this incident several lives were lost and many injured. The reason for chaos created has not been confirmed yet. However, judicial committee is formed to probe Rawalpindi tragedy. Curfew is being placed in Rawalpindi since 10th of Muharram and all entry/exits to Rawalpindi were sealed. Mobile phone service is also blocked in Rawalpindi. The area is taken over by army. 4. Economic Conditions of Pakistan: Since Pakistan is developing country, it is facing severe economic crisis.
