He believed that evolution was gradual on both humans and on organisms. Darwin believed in something called natural selection; meaning genes are to be passed on from one generation to the next. Darwins view on natural selection states that organisms tend to survive and reproduce as a function of their ability to adapt to the environment with less adaptable kinds of organisms diminishing.
