Decorate My Yard Backyard conservation is good for the environment. It helps animals who have no where to live and nothing to drink or eat. In Montgomery, some things are unable to be done, or just not practical to be done in the backyard. This paper will review ten things that could or could not be done to the backyard. The first thing that someone can do to add to their backyard is to think about a pond. A pond is an excellent addition to the backyard that will help out wildlife. When most people think about a pond, they think about a hole in the ground with water in it.
There is much more to a pond. Ponds need fish, tadpoles, algae control, and much more additional work than is originally thought. While a pond or water garden will likely become the focal point for all your backyard conservation (Backyard Pond), it may not be the perfect thing to install in Montgomery. With the high temperatures, very few fish will be able to survive the heat. Mulching is a very simple way to conserve a garden or landscape. It protects the soil from erosion, reduces compaction from the impact of heavy rains, conserves moister, reducing the need for frequent waterings, maintains a more even soil temperature, prevents weed growth, keeps fruits and vegetables clean, keeps feet clean, allowing access to garden when damp, provides a finished look to the garden (Mulching).
This would not be a problem in Montgomery, and it will always make the landscaping look better. Mulching enriches and protects soil, helping provide a better growing environment (Mulching).
The Essay on Taiga Soil
The taiga is the largest land biome on earth, it covers some of Canada, Alaska, Europe, Asia, and most of Russia. The word "taiga" is Russian for the forest, but the word is used in the U.S. as well as Canada and some parts of Europe. The winters are cold, and the summers are wet and sometimes warm. The purpose of this paper is to describe the soil in the taiga. First of all, the soil is nutrient ...
tree planting is a very simple way to prevent erosion and add beauty to the landscape. Trees are practical almost anywhere. There is also a lot of preparation that needs to be taken when planting a tree. A tree is a very high priced investment, so a lot of research should be done before purchasing the tree.
For Montgomery, specific types of trees would have to be bought due to the soil. A lot of time and effort in finding the right tree that will survive is required. If the correct tree is picked and planted, Trees add beauty and so much more (Tree Planting).
Terracing is a very interesting way to help your garden flourish. Terracing is when steps are dug into a slope so that the soil can absorb more of the rain instead of it running down the slope. It also helps you access parts of your garden easier. In Montgomery, a terrace may not be a bad idea.
When the rain falls a terrace would be able to trap it in the garden so that the garden could flourish a little bit more. If there is a hill or slope in your yard, than a terrace is a perfect idea. Use terraces to make flower and vegetable gardening possible on steep slopes, or simply to add interest to your landscape (Terracing).
Pest Control is a great way to protect your yard, but it is also one of the hardest parts of conservation. Yard pests include weeds, insects, diseases, and some species of wildlife. Weeds are plants that are growing out of place.
Insect pests include an enormous number of species from tiny thrips, that are nearly invisible to the naked eye, to the large larvae of the tomato hornworm. Diseases are caused by fungi, bacteria, viruses, and other organisms, some of which are only now being classified. Poor plant nutrition and misuse of pesticides also can cause injury to plants. Slugs, mites, and many species of wildlife such as rabbits, deer, and crows can be extremely destructive (Pest Management).
Pest control is not easy anywhere. It can be done in Montgomery, but it takes a lot of work, especially if you try to do it yourself. Get some help from the local pest control. With these tools, the backyard could be decorated very nicely.
A small pond in could be put in. One of the ponds that are just about the size of a bathtub and can easily be dug into the ground. The reason that would work is because it could be brought inside during the hot season so that nothing would die in the pond. The mulching will be great. It would make the landscaping look a lot better. It doesnt take very much work or even a lot of money.
The Essay on Tree And Plant Life Survey
In this experiment, conducted by Mr. Luckinbill's AP and Advanced Environmental Science class, our goal was to take a trip into the woods behind the Blue Mountain High School and identify and find the relative dominance and density of the tree population and to identify the plant life as well. I believe that we will have found mostly oak and pine trees in the forest, at first glance, they seem to ...
It is a simple way to add to the landscaping. Terracing would also be a great way to accent the backyard. Since it makes it easier for gardens to flourish and access, it would also make it easier to manage. At the same time, the soil is being protected and the backyard would start to look very good when this would be completed. If flowers were put into each little step as well, that would add another great accent to it. As for planting trees, without making a huge investment, this is probably one of the last things that could be done for the backyard.
If a tree is absolutely needed, than it can be done with a lot of research. The time and effort must be put into this project for it to work. There are hazard concerns also that need to be attended to such as how close it can be to the house and where the roots will grow. If there are other things such as a terrace or pond, the tree cannot be planted near these things due to the roots. The sunshine will also be taken away from these things if the tree grows very large. Pest control should be on the top of the list for perfecting a backyard.
Though it may be expensive, it is an absolute must if any of the other projects are going to be undertaken. Plants, flowers, and gardens cannot survive if there are pests eating them everyday. A pond will quickly turn sour if there are unwanted things in it, and if a tree is planted and the wrong animals get into it and eat it, the tree will also die. Mulching may not be affected as much by pests, but it is still a good idea to have that done before any other project is started. There are many ways to change a backyard to conserve wildlife and natural areas. While putting a pond in, terracing, tree planting and mulching are all great ideas, not all should be done at the same time.
Take a year to plant a tree and let it grow for a while, than put in a pond and let the wildlife adjust to it. If too many things are done to a natural area at one time, there may be negative damage to the area instead of positive. The main thing to do before starting on any project is to research. Make sure that the right parts of each project are going into the project. Make sure that the outcome of the project is going to be beneficial instead of negative. Do not make any major changes without talking with the experts.
The Term Paper on Project Management: Resource Considerations
Resources can include people, equipment, machines, tools, facilities, and space. Among the people may be many different types, such as painters, designers, cooks, computer programmers, and assembly workers. The consideration of resources adds another dimension (beyond the element of time) to planning and scheduling. In many projects, the amounts of the various types of resources available to ...
