Division Classification Essay I stood there, with my knees bended and sweaty hands resting on my thighs as I watched my team slowly travel up the field towards me with the ball aiming right to my position as midfielder. I began getting anxious knowing that if I mess up even a smidge of a centimeter my “teammates” would have my head on a platter. So focused on the scene laying out in front of me I almost just missed my name being yelled out by our team captain Alexia. “Don’t mess up! Pass the ball to me and I will do the rest and score the winning goal! ” Of course she was going to score the goal, doesn’t she always.
Finally the girls had reached my position and passed the ball swiftly to me. I turned and ran as the midfielder of the opposing team was behind me in arms reach distance. Defense on the opposing team was good because they had Alexia blocked I couldn’t find an entrance. I started panicking and I kicked it to the only person open right then. They all began yelling at me simultaneously because lucky for me I kicked it to the one girl who was lost in her land of unicorns and rainbows and the ball zoomed right past her cluelessness and into the other team’s territory.
Well the ending to this tale is that we lost, of course. In sports there are all different types of people. Tall, short, skinny, big, girl, boy, black white but it’s the category that they fall in that lets you know who you’re dealing with when it comes to teamwork. The naturals, the infamous ball hog, the one that is on the team but not really on the team, and the ones who are always yelling at you and manage to get under your skin every time. The naturals. Plain and simple. You are a natural ‘born with it’ athlete.
The Essay on Five Stages Team Development Model
Every team goes through the five stages of team development. First, some background on team development. The first four stages of team growth were first developed by Bruce Wayne Tuckman and published in 1965. His theory, called “Tuckman’s Stages” was based on research he conducted on team dynamics. He believed that these stages are inevitable in order for a team to grow to the ...
The ones you try so hard to be and compare yourself so much to. Every sports team has one of those whether you like them or not because you are too jealous. It’s like those naturals were created to be good in a certain sport because they kill it every time on the field or in the courts. You know they are good and they know it too. Sometimes they can get a little conceited because of the talent they were possessed with at birth. And when you become full of yourself it can get just a bit annoying to everyone else.
But when you are a natural the coaches adore you and you become their star pupil and have favoritism towards you which upsets everyone else but you were blessed so hey, if you got it flaunt it. Next are the worst ones in my opinion. Those special couple of athletes who just want the ball glued onto their head all the time so that no one else could have the chance to get the ball. BALL HOGS!! Urban Dictionary defines ‘ball hog’ as a player who keeps the ball for themselves, never passes to a teammate, always takes the shot themselves or always calls plays for his/her self to shoot.
It is called a ‘Team’ for a reason multiple people are involved in the sport not just one sole person. Apparently the ball hog thinks that the game is a one person show. Playing a game with those kinds of people will guarantee you barely any play time especially if the coaches don’t say anything, you might as well stay on the bench because at least you’ll be sitting instead of standing there waiting for an opportunity. I don’t think they realize that they are selfish in doing the hogging of the ball.
I play ball in my neighborhood basketball court and there is this one girl that I always give that stank look that you give to those people who deserve it because she honestly has a degree in hogging the ball. That is the reason no one picks her to play, but she still makes her way in. If you know you don’t want to be on a school’s sport team why join. I ask myself this when I see those girls who are on a team just for the free shirts and to actually say that they belong on a sports team at their school.
The Essay on Ball Play Pro Baseball One
HOW TO BECOME A PROFESSIONAL BALL PLAYER There are many steps to be done in order to be a pro baseball player. You re saying to yourself, What are the odds of me becoming a pro. Well honestly, not very good. However, there are many steps you can take to increase your chances. Usually they don’t even know how to even play the sport that they magically decided to join. That just makes that person look bad because you are standing there like an idiot not knowing who does what and where you belong. Eventually people are going to notice that you don’t know how to play and that you just don’t really care about what happens in the games. If you’re gonna be on the team at least put in some effort and learn the sport. The last category in which an athlete can fall in is the crazy, psycho, screaming, very serious about the sport athlete.
There is nothing worse than someone yelling in your ear constantly nagging at you telling you what to do in a game. It’s like a constant ringing in your ear that you can’t get rid of no matter how hard you try. I understand telling someone that they did something wrong and correcting them but those girls will not stop yelling at you even if they are at the end of the field. Especially if they don’t know what they are doing themselves, I sometimes say to myself “who are you tell me what’s right and what’s wrong”.
It’s good to have fun in sports that’s the main reason why I do them. I don’t want to feel like I’m in strict military camp in which our team captain is my 1st sergeant and she is yelling in my face while her spit is flying in every direction like you see in movies. Those types take sports way too seriously for my liking. Athletes are all different not one is the same but generally they are all classified into those categories I put together. But a team is a team so you have to put up with those who you don’t like because with teamwork you can accomplish anything.
