TOM (Narration) See, I was at my nephews 16 th birthday party and I was trying to impress him and his friends. I told them about my job, that I meet a lot of famous people and how good I have it. The team arrives at a park. They get out of the car and grab their gear. Tom gets dressed in an outrageous costume. Having a hollow garbage can suspended around him and leaves in his hair he begins to wait.
TOM (trying to regain their attention) Guys, its all about the waiting game. You have to wait them out. The kids sit down looking bored. 4. INT. A BAR – NIGHTTom sitting at the bar again.
TOM (getting up from the bar) (burp) Excuse me, I gotta piss. Tom gets up from the bar and walks away to the bathroom. 5. EXT. RESTAURANT – DAYTom gets another lead and the threesome head to a downtown restaurant where Johnny Depp is to be dining. Tom once again dresses in his camouflage sporting a big branch in his pocket.
TOM (narrating) So that lead didn’t work. Hey man it happens, all the time in this business. Well, at least it does for me? Anyways, I got another lead, Johnny Depp is in town, promoting his new movie, and he will be eating downtown, I know just the spot… So we rounded the troops and headed off. The kids film Tom and follow some of his strange antics as he tries to catch Depp coming in to eat. After considerable amount of time has passed the kids start to get bored.
One of the kids pans the camera down to the ground and notices the other’s shoes. BRIAN (to his friend) Dude… nice shoes! Wanna trade… ? The two kids exchange shoes when Tom yells trying to recapture their attention. TOM (yelling to the kids) Kids, its all a game of patience. You just have to wait…
BRIAN (to his friend) Man this sucks… nothing is happening. This is boring. Your uncle sucks. Let’s go, Buffy is on soon.
