Personal auto insurance is based on the premise of protecting the driver from monetary losses due to at-fault accidents. However, with the world changing and new types of programs in both health and personal insurance can make a difference in relation to what coverages persons need or want in their personal automobile insurance. The main coverages in auto insurance that could be considered a duplicate coverage is the personal injury protection (PIP coverage) or medical payment coverage that is required in most States in some fashion, towing, and rental reimbursement (Liberto, 2007; National Association Of Insurance Commissioners, 2006).
