Eating is an activity that we as humans do at least two times a day. People are living in a world where the variety of food is immense, and they are responsible for what they eat. Someone will decide what he or she is about to eat and how it will affect his or her bodies. The purpose of this essay is to compare and contrast the differences between eating fresh foods instead of canned foods. The three main differences are flavor, health benefits, and cost. The most notable difference between these two kinds of foods is their flavor. Fresh foods have great flavor and taste because they keep all their natural conditions. For example it is better to cook fresh tomatoes than canned tomatoes. Canned foods however lack a lot of its flavor (natural flavor) characteristics because there are some other chemical products added to the natural foods. For example the canned tomatoes have a lot of chemicals, so they can conserve their shape and flavor. It is logical that the fresh foods will have a greater taste and flavor when consumed just because of the time they have been prepared. Besides having a difference with flavor, there are so different in terms of health benefits. Comparing both types of foods we notice another difference.
There is a health factor that affects both of them. Canned foods lose some of its original fresh food nutrients when stored, and also it has to be filled with many conservatives and chemical factors. For example, when people are eating, it prolongs the shelf life and apparent freshness of the food but could also become toxic if consumed too often. On the other hand, the fresh food keep all the nutrients of the food which convert into the best option for peoples to absorb all of them. Because this kind of food conserves these properties, people are healthier. There is also another important difference. Another difference between these two types of foods is the cost. Canned foods are much more expensive than fresh foods. Here the benefit of buying canned foods is that they are easier to find, for example, someone can find in every supermarket around where he or she lives. On the other hand, the fresh food is a little more complicated to find in every supermarket fresh. The advantage here is that they are cheaper than canned food.
