Using the textbooks, the University Library, or other resources, answer each of the following questions in 150 to 200 words.
1.Select a fossil fuel. How is this fossil fuel used? What are the adverse effects on the environment? The fossil fuel I would like to use and is the most popular fossil fuel would be oil. Oil is used into things like gasoline, which is used for very much all of our transportation needs still now and those in the past. This fossil fuel is also being used for electricity in many shelters that we come to live in and also power plants and factories. The adverse effects that oil can have is oil spills usually occurs and causes a lot of damages to land and mostly to the many parts of water that surrounds this earth. Especially, when they are not sealed off properly. Causing many creatures to die on and off land. Water effects everyone even us human because we use it so much for everything. So when it is contaminated it is of less usage of it, and we have less of a supply from it.
2.Select a local or regional alternative energy resource. How might this resource be used to supplement or replace fossil fuels? The alternative energy resource that I have chosen will be the solar energy, because is basically based on the sunlight. The energy from the sun when it comes up in one day can supply all the power that we need for a couple of years. With that being said we can save more than enough money with electricity and the environment that surrounds us, would ultimately be way cleaner. This world will be cleaner for the future not only for humans, but also for other species and organisms. With the way that our population is growing we need to save some of our many natural resources we serve for the future of mankind for major events that may occur. It may be more expensive at first, but as years go by it you will continue in the direction to save more and more to the point that it is very inexpensive.
The Essay on Depletion of Non Renewable Resources of Energy
Eventually natural resources will become too costly to harvest and humanity will need to find other sources of energy. At present, the main energy source used by humans are non-renewable fossil fuels, as a result of continual use since the first internal combustion engine in the 17th century, the fuel is still in high demand with conventional infrastructure fitted with the combustion engine. Non- ...
3.If you were given the option, would you choose to purchase your energy from alternative resources? Explain your reasoning. I myself would
