7-Eleven is the world’s largest operator, franchisor, and licensor of convenience stores, with more than 54,200 stores in 16 countries, of which more than 10,400 are in North America. The company started by John Jefferson Green 1927, an enterprising Southland Ice Company employee in Dallas.
